Reported today and saw yesterday that Brady was stretching with the linemen instead of his usual position group. Significant? And why?

I think it is, and it's because he's trying to bond better with the group, and because there'll be a new starting five Monday night.

Most definitely! He'll take them out for kale shakes and quinoa burgers if they keep him upright on Monday.

He's talking about the Roloxes they'll all receive from him if they do their job. Doubtful, though, with the slug coaching the line. The guy who insisted on putting Jordan Devey at guard when we have a better player in the guy Dante put in last year, Josh Kline.

Nothing to see here!

He's obviously upset at the organization for drafting Garoppolo and knows he will be starting soon if he doesn't pick it up. So Brady doesn't want to be around him anymore at practice. Clearly that's it.

Because based on actual performance last Sunday, Brady is doing a better job blocking on running plays than the OLine so he's getting reps with that unit now.

Hopefully to bond with Stork, the starting center on Monday.

The line looked much better with him out there in the fourth quarter. Set pretty good pockets and seemed to have a bit of a nasty streak, something lost when we traded Mankins.

Clearly Brady is being groomed as our RG going forward.

Is it allowed to use the official uniform and all the pads in practices? These guys are so disconnected that I think it would be helpful for them, specially for rookies.

Well they were in shorts and shells today. There is a limit on the number of padded practices a team can have throughout the year. That was negotiated in the last CBA.

I think that everybody is missing out the coordination that has to be between QB and the lineman. The QB calls the protection at the line and then the linemen makes their calls as to who is going to block whom. Once you took out a 10 cog in Mankins and then have rotating guys playing center, you are going to have serious issues. Hopefully he is hanging with them so that they all finally get on the same page.

If you are the left tackle and the protection calls for the guard to look say on, away gap, then you take a big step to the outside on pass protection. Of course, if the guard misses his assignment and looks to his inside gap first and you expect him to be looking at the outside gap, and the DE takes an inside route, you look like an idiot! It is very complicated, and you have to trust and know what the guy beside you is doing and you have to trust that he knows the calls and that he is going to do his job. Once you start guessing or hesitating because you either don't know your assignment, or you are not sure if the guy next to you knows his assignment. Then you have what the Pats O-line has looked like for three weeks.

I think its "Stork" time. Hopefully he can handle all the line calls at center. Move Connelly back to LG, where there is some history/chemistry and you might start to see an improvement.

My first guess is that he's trying to make up for how much visible displeasure he's shown to them.

My second guess is that he's trying to make them care more about him.

But of course that's all minor speculation.

He wants to get to know the people that are trying to get him killed.

I think he is making the transition to OL so that our rookie QB can start playing.

Well..we do need OL help..and he did throw that block last week....so...
