Not so fast, Shmessy.
I have a (small) share of season tickets for both the Red Sox and patriots. Both are pretty good seats. The Sox tickets are $45 each. The patriots tickets are 170 esch except for when they go up to 212 for the Denver game and the Jets game.
The sox suck this year, but they've had some recent success.last year I was at the game clinching World Series win (game six at Fenway). The ticket was $200. That is less than what I am paying to see Denver in a few weeks.
Baseball is a different business model. If they charged what football teams charged for tickets, they would have an empty park. Imagine paying $170 per ticket for 81 games a season? That is $13,770 a year per ticket and that wouldn't even be for behind home plate tickets.
