Peyton "rule change" Manning at it again

The worst I would wish on him is that he marries a tranny before checking out the goods.I'd pay for a seat in THAT divorce court.
You never know, he may be pleasantly surprised.

I think it's hemorrhagic fever, where you bleed out from the inside through your pores before you die in agony that your thinking about, CT...in any event, any life threatening disease is a horror.

That would become a new "point of emphasis" surprise trannying someone would be an automatic divorce and the victim would claim 50% of their assets and an automatic first down.

Rule changes..........like the penalty for hitting a QB low, mysteriously being implemented after Brady got hurt??????

Brushing the dust of the rule book to find the tuck rule...............

I don't understand what he's complaining about. In the old days all the team with the ball first had to do was kick a field goal to win the game. Now they have to score a TD. It's actually harder now to win a sudden death game.

Peyton will now blame the liquored up defense.

I remember hearing Peyton's pop Archie publicly whining on radio the day of the first Pats/Giants SB that Fran Tarkenton didn't belong in the NFL HOF. Apparently, the apple didn't fall far from the tree in this case. Eli must take after mom, because I don't hear him whining much.

Hi, welcome to the NFL as a newbie just learning the game.
Let me help.

1. The Carson Palmer Rule...read up on it. That Rule was extended after the Brady hit.

2. The Tuck Rule had been called many times before. Several times in the 2001 season in fact.
Example 1: Game 2 of the 2001 season Pats vs Jets in a close game. Vinnie T gets sacked by the Pats, fumbles and Pats recover. Patriots ball. Refs confer and decide it's an incomplete pass because of the Tuck Rule.
Jets ball.
I was at the game.

Welcome to NFL football!

And if the Broncos had won the toss, marched down the field and scored a touchdown, only for the Seahawks to answer and the game to end in a tie, Peyton would be saying, "You know, it really should be over if you score a TD. This game is too physical to play too many extra minutes when you don't have to."

For some unknown reason when Peyton talks the NFL listens.... if another premier QB said this he would be labeled as a "whiner"...

Maybe it is that NFL "first family" crap that makes the NFL decision makers confused... maybe he should have more faith in his much heralded defense.

If Peyton won the coin toss and won the game, he would love the rule... maybe he is trying to figure out a competitive edge for the post season...

Actually, I really believe he's still smoldering inside because Tim Tebow beat the Steelers in an overtime, playoff game with a great pass for a touchdown. Peyton hasn't done that. It must eat away at him constantly. I'm good with that.

And the tuck rule isn't in the rule book anymore. Done away with, IIRC, 2 seasons back.

Thanks for playing, though.

Thanks for letting me play. No one is attacking your franchise or players, as many of you often do to other franchises. Just making the point to maybe not throw rocks (some of you just seem obsessed with Peyton) when you've seemed to be guilty of similar things. The Broncos were known for cut blocking at one time, so I take it with a grain of salt and move on when our players today get cutblocked.

The tuck rule has been removed, but it was in place for the discussion we're having, so who cares if not in place now......

Did Peyton ever say the rule should be changed?

Not to get political here, but since you brought it up I was thinking there are far more similarities to the Bush clan.
I think that's what the bookies call "Pick 'em." :)

I've read plenty on the rule. The rule was changed after the Palmer injury. And the rule was changed/extneded after Brady........so the rule did change......and as result of Brady getting hurt right????? I'm not sure what you're arguing. You admit the rule was altered after the Brady hit. Was any rule changed for Manning?

This report is from Boston.com.......
Tom Brady hasn't even thrown a pass in his comeback, and he's already affected change for the 2009 NFL season.
In part because of the season-ending left knee injury that Brady suffered in the Patriots' 2008 season opener against the Chiefs.......
