You do realize all four teams are better than any team we've played so far.

You do realize life is short? Look, be as negative as you want. Spend as much of your precious time as you want to come to a Patriot fan(atic) chat board to be gloomy (a chat board, fortunately, is the one of the few places left with explicit freedom). But ask yourself this, what's the point of it?

As it appears I would concur with you that 4 wins or even X wins in the next 4 weeks is more uncertain than it has been in many years (except for maybe last year?). The Patriots O looks worse, IMHO, than last year at this time (and that's saying something). But, as mentioned before, the Patriots' history, even in times of struggle, says BB/TB et al find a way to be competitive and find a way to win more often than lose. So temper your dire prediction with at least some 'let's see what happens over the next 4 weeks'. And I'll tell you this: if one single thing happens -- Patriot OL starts playing better/gels -- IMHO the Patriots will immediately be a tough team to beat. Not world beaters (we'll leave that for week 10 and beyond) but fairly tough to beat. The defense should be getting better and better, and if TB isn't looking over his shoulder on every play I think we'll see the passing potency start to take off.

In years past, the offense clicked in the regular season, often blowing out opponents while the defense ended up a patchwork shambles that we hoped could improve. The result was that the team needed to click offensively and score plenty. For the first time since maybe 2005 or 2006, the defense is stronger holding opponents (albeit fairly pedestrian ones) to the lowest ypg in the league. Before you discount it as a small sample (3/16) remember what some other rookie QBs ( no film available) have done to light up the Pat defense. I am more confident that the offense can get their act together during the season than I would be if it was the defense that was struggling as in years past...
Maybe BB ought to hire Dante as a consultant and bring him in for a few practices or send him tape and let him analyze it. Hell, lots of guys act as consultants after they retire. A nice fat check for a week's work should pull him away from whatever he's doing, hopefully....to address the O line problems...
Some penalties can be easily addressed like the offensive PI on the pick plays......and we saw a marked decrease in penalties yesterday compared to weeks 1 and 2.....
Lastly, I'd rather see the team winning ugly if it means winning the close ones ( which they will have to do in the post-season) than blowing teams out and having the playoffs be the first time they have to deal with a close one... with the results being what we have seen since SB39...

I have calmed down . I have not been here in a while but i am back.

for years i have seen the defense struggle . Now i see that end improve and now the offense is struggling. It even harder when sanders is doing good at denver.

it was harder to see solder struggle against mack a rookie on his 3rd game. here come tama hali at the loudest stadium on monday night.

cannon might be big but cannot move his feet on any of the pulling plays. He is behind the line as the RB runs by him. He is not a gaurd.

i am disgusted that this season is depent on
Jordan Devay , Flemming , Stork and Kline.

arrow head === OL communication issue. !!!
