This is scary, this offensive situation is simply DYSFUNCTIONAL.. I said this last week as well but everyone told me to "stop complaining after a blowout win"

The 2014 Patriots offense is NO better (maybe even worse) than the 2013 offense that was inept vs the Broncos in the AFC Championship game.

-Julien Edleman is Brady's ONLY legitimate target on the field, period.
-Gronk is clearly not 100% (more like 50%) yet is still Brady's #2 most reliable target, this is not a good thing right now.
-LaFell was an awful cheap signing from the start. Panthers fans were more than happy to get rid of him.
-Amendola is one of the (if not THE) WORST signings of the Belichick era. AWFUL. A complete ghost. The only time this guy gets a catch is on illegal picks that get called. And unlike LaFell, who was just a lazy cheap signing, this guy is getting PAID. Disgusting.
-The myth of the "potential" of Dobson/Thompkins is a complete joke. It's been 21 games now, my verdict is set. These guys are never going to emerge as anything they need to be for this offense .
-Wright has been a non-factor, he's going to go from 54+ catches in 8 starts with Tampa to less than that in a full season here.

How the **** does this get better? How is it that Brady, in the twilight of his career, is now playing with complete garbage for 2 years straight? How was it assumed that adding Brandon ****ing LaFell was good enough to improve this offense?

This isn't something you can coach up/scheme, it's a legit personnel problem that the Pats have failed miserably at addressing.

I don't think they are as bad as last year's unit, no.

I think they are better, but the unfortunate situation is that our OL has been playing so poorly that we've yet to experience exactly what the WR corps has to offer.

Our line needs to play better for sure. But keep in mind it's only been 3 games. I have a feeling these guys are poised to light it up against the chiefs. I think the chiefs secondary is overrated

Bottom five. Remember, bb is the gm. He passed over every skill player in the draft worth talking about. Kelvin Benjamin was amazing but I'm sure BB figured out his soul and knew he couldn't figure out our offense.

If we had a good Oline...i think it would rank pretty high...but that would be with dobson at 100% which he clearly isn't

average at best.plus tom doesn't trust any of them other than minitron.
laFAIL is terrible, amendola dropped a td, kt is a JAG, dobson is recovering from a busted foot.

dire, very dire....

Our receiving corps is better than the 2013 one that got us to the AFC Championship. It amy be top 10 if one counts all the targets, and understandings that we have a franchise quarterback at the helm.

WIDE RECEIVERS
as good as last year

TIGHT ENDS
better than last year

RUNNING BACKS IN THE PASSING GAME
better than last year

Some of you guys need to go back and read a few threads about the receiving corps after 3 games last year.

Amendola didn't really drop a TD. Gronk, on the other hand ...

And, you know, the Pats never passed on Benjamin in the draft.

The OLINE doesn't give Brady enough time for me to assess were the WR corps rank it's not top 5 though if it were it wouldn't matter how much time.Brady had he would get rid of the ball quickly

My head is about to explode about how bad our WR's are.... if they were the only guys on the field it would makes, sense but the O line is not playing well... and here is some real heresy, #12 is not playing well either..

Thread after thread framing the same issue...

Carolina picked him one pick before our pick, so unless he traded up, BB wasn't gonna get Benjamin. I think BB would have taken him, I think the Pats liked him, personally worked him out I believe. But then again, they worked out A LOT of receivers, and in the best receiver class in years, waited for the 7th round to pick a receiver.

I think our receiving class is the worst in the NFL.

Brady struggled with his new receivers last preseason which carried over to the first half of the regular season before Brady seemed to get comfortable with them, which makes sense to me.

What doesn't make sense to me is Brady looked fantastic in the exhibition season, looked very in sync with his receivers, and now all of a sudden he looks lost again like last season. He needs to take a page from Garopollo and take 3 step drops, get rid of the ball fast. I know the line sucks, but he needs to get rid of the ball faster, it tires the DLineman when they continue to rush the passer and never get the sack or hit on the QB.

Until the line blocks better, we will never know how good our WR's can be or are.

if the OL gets better and Gronk starts playing like he did before his injury they will be ok

I really haven't got a clue. It's just too hard to say when our OL is as bad as it is right now.

Probably bottom 10. Does anyone have a worse OL?

how can you tell when brady is under pressure as soon as the ball is snapped?

I'm not even sure how you can have any opinion of this. Without a proper oline, how can you know anything about the receivers?
