He was amazing today. My favorite play was when he tried to dive for a TD, this is a guy with heart.

He's top 5 in receptions and top 10 in receiving yards throught 3 games

22 receptions/260 yards/11.8 per reception

without him...we would have lost IMO..made that HUGE catch down the sidelines like 20 yards IIRC. Big time player in this O

I love the energy and effort but this offense can't afford to have him go down with an injury. I'd rather have seen him go down after picking up the first down.

If Edelman signs with whoever offered him a contract in March 2013 (Packers? Giants? I forget who he visited), we are 8-8 last year and 1-2 so far this year. I was one of his detractors back in 2012. Man am I glad I was wrong and BB didn't listen to me. The guy is pure heart and guts, and he'll be a big name in the NFL when its all said and done.

IIRC he actually visited the Giants, but left without an offer, for which we should all be grateful.

I watched the play where JE tried to jump over the two Raider's defenders a half dozen times. He's concentrated willpower in human form. Somewhere in his heart he must've thought he could will himself to jump seven feet into the air.

I believe it was the 49ers who made him an offer.

He has turned himself into an exceptional player, they would be wise to tear up his deal and make him a good long term offer otherwise they will lose him after the 2015 season.

didn't he sign a 4 year deal?

In the 4 years prior to JE starting last year, JE averageda whopping 17 catches per year and most of the catches occurred his rookie season. Quite a transformation.
Congrats to JE
That being said....the fact that we are all giddy over 10 catches for 84 yds and zero TDs speaks more about the woeful contributions elsewhere. Using a typical Welker game (as a Patriot) as a comparison, JE caught 2.5 more passes Sunday but averaged 2 yds/catch less. My point....we are all amped about a close to normal day in the slot. Again ...speaks volumes regarding the other play makers.

They literally just signed him to a new contract a few months ago. Why would they tear it up?
