No turnovers (Brady or Ridley), great run defense, Gronk is looking better every week, and we won the game.

There are no perfect teams 1 month into the season, 2007 Pats excluded, and all of our problems are correctable. We can fix the OLine, and once Gronk gets healthy with Dobson getting up to game speed, this team can get it going.

The Defense is top 5 and the offense will figure it out, just like they have every season in the last decade, this team will be a force in Dec/Jan..and hopefully Feb...Once it really counts!

So do you feel comfortable picking us against KC next week? I sure don't. It seems at best a toss up.

And if we lose, will it be chalked up (to you) to the early season--because it's early season for all 32 teams.

Yes I feel more than comfortable picking us against KC. The Pats are notorious for playing down to the competition. We play the team we are facing...and just like always we did what we had to do to win. Again, top 5 defense, no turnovers, I will take it any day!

Last 2 games only 7 and 9 pts allowed...years past they would give up 28 to these same Os and QBs

Really like where this D is at. Will only get better

Exactly! Last 2 years we would have given up massive points and yards to whom ever we played, and now we dont. Not everything will come together in the first month...it's the last month that counts.

i like this thread...as long as we keep improving cause everyone else will. I just wish we played with a little more urgency. The body language out there today does not show a lot of "mental toughness"

The D was mentally tough...gave up some plays but locked it down other wise.

KC isn't very good and if Charles is limited next week, we should be able to pull out a win with slightly better offensive production than today. I'm more worried about Cinci, and don't want my first game at the razor to be ruined by lord fire crotch.

I'm just going to sit here and enjoy being 2-1 and atop the AFC once again. There'll be plenty of time later to worry about the next game. The only negative for me is that I was going to pick 19-9 as the score but got a little too confident and went with 29-9 at the last minute

I think we're going to have a lot of trouble with KC next week, especially if Charles goes.

Jekyll and Hyde, I say dominant win against KC next week.

KC in KC is always tough, but I still like our chances.

On the D side of the ball? I don't think we will have a lot of trouble. Maybe some. But he won't be 100% if he does go.

On both sides of the ball, really. Their front seven can, and probably will, victimize our seive of an OL and make Brady's life hell. They can realistically shut us out if the OL plays as they did yesterday.

We need to start Stork and experiment with Fleming, Cannon, and Connolly at guard.

Not only that, they didn't give up over 300 passing yards to any of them, they pretty much kept them at under 200 yards.

I know the offense has not been good, but I think people are underrating the defenses the Pats' have faced. The Vikings held the Saints to 20 points yesterday and the game was 14-9 going into the fourth quarter. They shutdown the Rams in the first game. Their defense is good, not great.

The Raiders' defense is decent too. Yeah, the Texans scored 30 on them, but that was because of the Texan defense causing turnovers. The Texans scored 13 points (a TD and two FGs) on drive that 24 yards or less (a 9 yard, 21 yard, and 24 yard drives) and another 3 on a 52 yard drive. The week before they gave up 19 points to the Jets, but that was in part because of a 71 yard TD run which was marred with poor tackling (it counts to the quality of the defense, but it was one play).

No one is going to compare either defense to the Seahawks' defense last year. But they aren't the crap defenses that people are making them out to be.

And i think they will start that experiment on monday night
