Why was Adam exempt from the transgression when the transgression was disobedience?

"Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (I Timothy 2:11-14)

I think that Adam, not being deceived, was more culpable than Eve.
Why then did God favor the guiltiest, Adam, with, --- he shall rule over you?

Men rule over women? Why when men were not deceived but disobeyed?

What was the transgression, --- if not a wise decision to choose knowledge and wisdom and shun immortality of the flesh, --- even if that were possible, --- and why was Adan not punished as hard as Eve when he was clearly more guilty?

Adam and Eve were fictional ....

Yes, yet Christian men have used --- he shall rule over you, --- to deny women equality forever.

Good to tell us all it is fiction but that does not tell us how to get immoral Christians from using that dogma to oppress women.

No it is not just Christians. They just happen to be the majority and they give it the most lip service.
They do not walk their talk.

Care to explain walk their talk?

Care to explain walk their talk?

We give women and their equality lip service but do not practice what we say. If we did, women would not need the courts. They would also not need the courts if the Christian businessmen in this country acted like Christians. They are the vast majority.

We also do the same for minorities.

That kind of garbage will continue till we at the very least give women full equality and start to walk our talk. If we can deny women equality and think other ethnic or racial problems will go away, we are stupid and do not deserve the air we are breathing.

That's about the biggest piece of garbage you have ever spewed here.

For someone who has been banned in at least a dozen forums for trolling that's saying something.

That many? You are lying I think. Give the list of sites or be seen as a liar.

How was he "exempt"?

To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’

“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”

Genesis 3:17-19

It seems one has to be deceived to be in transgression. Eve was in, Adam was out.

Care to tell us what the transgression was?

Leading the man to sin. The man was still culpable for his sin, hence the above.

Leading?

"and she gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat."

Is leading the word you want to use here to blame women for what Adam did?

Seems Adam, who was there all through the serpents dialog as well as Eves eating, without objecting in any way, you see as his being somehow led or coerced?

Not the word I would use.

Yeah, it wasn't his idea. He was still culpable for following her (as I said above).

It was his idea as God said he disobeyed. He did not say Eve made or coerced Adam do anything.

Adam was there through the whole thing and just put out his hand on his own volition.

Eve God the wrong end of the stick by design of a prick of a God.

So if I have an idea and share it with you and you like it, I coerced you? This is a non-sequitur.

Adam was there through the whole thing and just put out his hand on his own volition.

Which is why he was still culpable. Doesn't mean he dreamed it up.

"Nothing to refute so go to insult."

The more we go forward, the more we go back.

To your first. Read what I wrote. You are saying the same thing I said. What you and I said is why Eve was not culpable of any coercion.

To your last. Correct. There was nothing to refute so I showed my moral position.

She was still culpable for eating the apple and for encouraging Adam to do the same.

Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats. It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble. - Romans 14:20-21
