If one hasnt been posted yet....if not combine it......My impressions.....Cannon Solder and even Connelly are weak links on O line......Brady has been very UN-Brady like thus far.....tailing and over/underthrowing a ton of balls.....ALL the mediots have moved him out of the top 5......I think if OL gets going and WR start running routes correctly .....Brady will make them eat their words.

But Solder is being exposed for the weak link that he is......Cannon has ALWAYS been weak.....and Connelly looked like crap today......as a result Brady was on his arse often....

Next.....Lafell was awful......Amendola hardly existent.....and PUH-LEESE Josh McD and BB....Dont put Branden Bolden in the backfield to run the ball......special teamer? A. OK.......

Coaching? Mcdaniels should be named McDonkey.......HORRIBLE PLAYCALLING by him.....and BB? terrible time clock management just before the half....just horrible.....how we didnt get 7 points before the half was just "Norv Turner-esque" and heck even "schottenheimer-esque" by BB today.........

What say you all?

I thought that 4th down-- throwing mid out of bounds -- was pretty risky as it appeared to me in realtime that there was a second still left on the clock when the ball when out of bounds, and could've lead to a disastrous last chance for Oakland

So given the scenario -- about 8 seconds extra than what kneel down provides

I'm okay with them doing the delayed kneel instead of running the ball as there's a reduced chance of fumble.

But on that last play, with 3 seconds, instead of what brady did, i'd rather have:
1. He have thrown it deeper down the middle (just pick a spot where no player was), thus the clock doesn't stop till the ball hits the ground
2. He could've gone ran back with the ball thru the endzone; safety, but chewing off the 3 seconds, but even if there was a second left we'd just squib it on the kickoff
3. Just punt it away out of bounds -- also likely to get 3 seconds, worse case it gets a safety if they block it

nitpicking here, but it really looked like we only took off 2 seconds on that last play and if I was an Oakland fan, i'd be pissed that they didn't check the time.

McDaniels calling the 2nd to last timeout at 1:06 left in the 1st half. Patriots had 2nd and 6 at the Oakland 13 yard line.

B-O-N-E-H-E-A-D.

There was no need for that and it cost the team 4 points, almost 7.

1) Stork is ready. The OL improved some with Stork at C and Connolly at RG.

2) We need SOME production from Thompkins, Dobson or Amendola.

3) Wright is an OK addition.

4) Vellano played OK when Siliga went down. I don't know how many reps he was out there for, but I same a few times.

5) Revis is not as good as I thought he would be.

6) And obviously, Brady didn't look good yet again.

I think unfortunately that Tom has been pretty average so far.....MUCH of this has to do with the "new OL" obviously. ....but his overthrows /underthrows so far have been less than the typical Tom Brady.....

Completely disagree.

Both KT and Dobson have looked good when they play, and both have caught basically everything they've had a chance to catch. They're also open a lot, so i'd say their lack of production is more about protection and time for Brady to get to his 3rd progression and less about how well they are playing.

Revis has looked great so far, what are you talking about? He has been on point for basically every completion against him, its just the receiver made incredible plays off perfect passes.... It happens. I'll take those catches any day of the week.

Brady looked about as good as a QB can play under such duress. So unless you think he is going to morph into R Wilson tommorow, I don't know what you can expect.

Usually the team gets better as the season goes on. With the defense looking so good already, if we can get the offense issues worked out we'll do ok. I'll take defense over offense any day. They'll fix this.

Edelman IS ...our WR squad!

QUOTE="NG Pats Fan, post: 3915300, member: 18471"]If we signed Brady elite WRs, he would put up great numbers. He has one of the worst WR corps in the NFL in my opinion.[/QUOTE]

He wasn't but that's my opinion.
I mean he was if you expected him to be our Demaryius Thomas or Dez Bryant. But that's not something he has ever been, or is paid to be, or reasonably expected to be. I think many have way to high expectations on guys just because we brought them in as free agents. Not every free agent is a mega superstar.

LOL

I didn't think that there were any bigger Revis fanboys than myself (he is a local high school and college guy where I live), but we should start up a Revis fanclub.

He hasn't looked anything like the shutdown CB that he's supposed to be though, let's be totally honest. That said, he is contributing in other ways that aren't as noticeable like the one vs one matchups that he has been losing.

Only Belichick will decide if he's worth paying 13-14m dollars on a long term pact in the offseason, and the jury is certainly still out on that, and likely will be until the start of free agency.

Well...it wasn't the best performance but this was a win against a team with their HC on the hotseat and everything to play for. Scrappy in the trenches and the Raiders played tough. Not a great game for ESPN highlights, but a win none the less.

A win is a win, especially if they can start to collect some of these while improving along the way.

Something is really off with this team. I cant really pin it on just one thing, or person. Its just....off. The playcalling, who's getting playtime, who's not. One week our D is rushing the passer like hell on wheels, the next wk we play against a rookie and can barely touch him. Its awkward to watch. Clearly, I hope for the best. By week 6, things will be coming together perhaps? I honestly dont know. I just hope the boys can hang in there and squeak out some hard fought wins by the time that happens.

Well, having 3 weeks in a row of offensive interference penalties doesn't exactly put him in the "up" group, but he did end up catching a few passes in the second half. Hopefully, they can build off of that moving forward.

Today he caught an actual pass--so that's something positive that they can build off of.

bizarre that there are any complaints about one of the best defenses in the league'

It's just the offense, that's all.

The defense is the typical bend but don't break, although they havent' been breaking lately, so that should be seen as a great thing so far.

The offense will come around once the OL starts to communicate better and make some hopeful improvements.
