time to play stork full time?

I said this to. Stork at Center and move Connolly into G. That play where Brady got 5 secs to pass with a clean pocket and hit Gronk for 20 on a long 3rd down was with that OL.

Clearly that is your best line right now. Stork should start next week if he is fit to play 60 minutes.

Sign me up. Time to end the experiment with Devey--------- Solder, Cannon, Stork, Connolly, Vollmer with Fleming as the BIG when they go to JUMBO sets.

I like Stork in and Connolly at G but I wouldnt mind seeing some experimentation on the left side coverage. It seemed like Solder had a pretty bad game. Maybe he is playing hurt and needs some reps off? Cannon looked the same way early on but seemed like he got better in the second half.

If you have doubts about Cannon, then who do you envision getting some of Solder's reps?

Well I hate to say it, but isn't Devey supposed to be more of a tackle than a guard? I'd have to say it would either be Devey or Flemming. Probably Flemming if Gronk gets healthy. I just get the sense Solder is playing hurt because it isn't like him to get one pushed so much. And if he goes down, who are we planning to replace him with? Some guy with zero reps in game at the position? I guess I'd like to have a little more security there.

Stork looks tough out there and seems to play angry which this line needs. It's time to get Devey out of there and Stork in there. Connolly plays better at guard than at center. Solder had a tough day at times out there.

I would love this. Honestly it was like someone flipped a switch and everything was firing on all cylinders. Brady had time people were in position. He was able to make more than one read. And they marched down the field the way the are supposed to. I hate that it was stalled at the end but the entire drive felt like it injected life back into the team.

Yeah, I groaned when I saw Devey in there, especially when he got split so easy on this one play....forget against who, may have been Tuck.

I have trouble imagining Devey for Solder being an improvement at this point in time. Ditto Fleming for Solder. Ditto Cannon sliding over and Devey/Kline/whoever taking over for him.

Of course, if Solder really is hurt, that would be a different matter.

I know it's not fair, Tip...but in the 4th quarter I wanted to see somebody knock him out of the game. I can see jitters and blown assignments on the road but at home? If he just played ORDINARY the offense would have played better as a whole unit. He's a square peg.

Very hard to disagree with having Stork as the starting C and Connolly as starting LG.

I would also propose switching Seabass to LT and Solder to RT....don't kill me on this guys, but they both showed success playing those positions in the past.

Wasn't stork in there when brady was sucking in the end? Stork is an improvemnt over devy, but this won't fix the offense by itself.

theres been many times this year that ive watched solder standing like a statue with his arms extended in a blocking position while the pass rusher runs around or inside of him.

its worth a try

Like I said in the other thread, we really need Stork to perform this year or Brady is going to lose at least a season off his career.

If he can step in and at least keep Brady from getting beat up day in day out, BB would make up for neglecting the position for so long and done so with a fourth rounder.

But just this year, right? I don't remember this being an issue previously. It seems like an injury or a new coaching issue. If they make the Stork change permanent (which I really hope they do), fixing Solder could be the last piece of the oline puzzle.
