LaFell

From the couple of targets last week, to me he looked mechanical (not very smooth), no seperation, and questionable hands. I believe I saw a quote from the Carolina board saying he has alot of drops and won't be missed. I agree with previous opinions that he is a depth/insurance signing in case the kids didn't progress. Maybe BB sees a skillset he can incorporate.

How did he look in preseason?

if laFAIL catches one pass today i'll be stunned.

should of went after sanders who already has nearly 200 yards receiving. will laFAIL have 200 yards total this year? probably not.. hey, at least he can run block! basically the WR version of hooman.

...Bottom line is, we have too many capable receivers right now. How is that bad, I wonder?

Problem is, you're making an assumption, not a statement of fact.

We gave money to the wrong Panthers WR. Steve Smith is looking incredible in Baltimore, he is their # 1 WR. Brady would have LOVED smith.

Lafell needs to clean up his picks. Look at mannings receivers. But lafell looked his best today catching a few passes. If the oline can give Tom time the receivers will get more rocks

I have seen bad players in patriots uniform, I have seen bad WR in patriots uniform, but to be honest no one even stand a chance against this guy. It's not only that he is a bad WR, which he is, is that he brings negative value to the team.

Do you have access to the inner workings of this team??

Lafell caught a few balls today. He plays special teams. He gets a lot of penalties called on him.

I think he remains a game-day active.

I also think Amendola has an advantage in staying active in that he's the closest backup to Edelman in everything, and Edelman is pretty essential.

So for now I think it's Thompkins vs. Dobson for one active spot, still.

He's got to clean up his blocks...

If LaFell wouldn't get the same OPI call, as he does every game, then I would have said he had a decent game. A few catches including one for a first down. it would help if he kept his mouth shut though

they wanted him to come in to talk but he never left Baltimore.

Lafell- 3 games in a Patriots uniform in an offense that looks as bad as we've ever seen under Brady.

Give

Him

Time.

OK....tap tap tap........time's UP!

If fans at a guys previous team think he is crap and won't be missed that opinion is almost always correct, and the fact that Carolina a team that badly needed receivers made little to no effort to resign him tells you all you need to know.

LaFell had 4 catches for 46 yards today, if he does just that again every week for the rest of the season he would have 56 catches for 644 yards. I will take that. LaFell is not a huge concern, I am more concerned with Dobson being a healthy scratch, and Amendola being a non-factor. LaFell was not signed to be anything more than a #4 WR and a run blocker.

I would say the exact opposite. Fans of the previous team often severely underrate the player. See Welker or Talib. Two very good players who many Pats fans said where crap.

You think he is worse than Chad Johnson? Because it appears LaFell already has the playbook learned.

Miami fans liked welker go back and check. Talib you may be right, but i said almost always not 100 %

Talking about Patriots fans. A lot of people instantly started saying he sucks when he went to Denver.
