BTW, heading into this game, according to Football Outsiders, Edelman is, depending on what statistic you use, either the third or fourth most successful WR in the entire NFL this season.

He's white though. Which means he's automatically a slot receiver and therefore, also the next Wes Welker. Just like Riley Cooper.

Cooper? isn't that cheese of some kind?...figures...pretty cheesy post...

gronk break out day? the raiders stink against the run, play action will destroy them.
maybe a few seam passes!!:D

Edelman is not a slot receiver. He takes the majority of his snaps outside the numbers, by a wide margin.

When your actual "outside" receivers are inactive or not doing anything, it becomes more a necessity...Edelman is very good but overall he is still more a short to intermediate receiver...

Again, I hope I am wrong and this receiving corp will be great but so far in this young season, I am not very confident that it will happen...We shall see though...

I'd rather it was a classic 400 yard 4 TD game myself...

Now that you guys are predicting it, it's definitely not going to be an easy day.

tom literally has no wide receivers other than minitron....

Baloney. Every receiver on the Pats active roster today had 32 catches (KT) or more last year.

LaFell (49)
Amendola (54)
Edelman (105)
Thompkins (32)
Wright (54)
Gronkowski (39)

That's a solid, experienced receiver group, all with NFL production.

Just take a look at Arian Foster as to why you don't push guys who didn't play in the preseason coming back from injury.

55 rushes in the 1st 2 weeks which is 5th most since 2000 and he is out today because of a hamstring.

Foster is also inactive today

maybe we'll see some more of tim wright. so far, he's done nothing.

since when is a preference a prediction? I know both words start with pre but the similarity ends there...

No matter the reason why, Dobson being inactive today is very disappointing to say the least.

Edelman is like a jacked version of Dola.

but i like james jones.

Why? He's 3o years old and has averaged 44 catches a year in his NFL career. About the same and Brandon LaFell over his first four years in the league and who is younger and who is not being asked to be the Pats go-to receiver.

Not counting the year he went on IR in the first game, Amendola has averaged 61 catches a year for his four years in the NFL.

Why do you like James Jones, but not these two Pats receivers?

Pats win toss, defer

Can someone PM me a link to the game? All of my websites are not working.
