Roger Goodell Press Conference

My personal theory is that SB39 is a college psych-class experiment. They are testing out the difference in responses they get from posts made with one Avatar versus another.
I think the commissioner is doing a good job (not in this particular situation, I just mean overall over the past 8 years). This opinion has caused more hatred and venom directed at me than you can possibly imagine. Maybe the psych class experiment should be why some people get so angry at others who have different beliefs.
Its the only thing that makes sense. I mean, what other reason would any poster that wanted to be taken seriously by his peers have in choosing one of the most smarmy, spoiled and petulantly hated literary characters of all time?
Really? We're evaluating fictional characters in avatars now?

Which proves, once again, you don't have a freakin' clue what you are talking about and that you are nothing more than a worthless moron, just like Roger "14 carat screw up" Goodell.
Like I said, the psych experiment should be why someone who thinks Goodell is a good commissioner provokes a response such as the above.

As much as I dislike Goodell, this is a really ridiculous cover. Roger didn't punch anyone in an elevator, or whip his kid with a branch. This is a great example of the scumbag media doing its thing.

Yes, Daily News, what about the victims?

Anyone going to ask the legal system this or is Roger Goodell daddy of America all of a sudden?

I mean this is exactly what propaganda looks like. It sounds and looks okay if you don't give it a second of thought, but with a moment or two, the whole thing looks like an Orwellian farce.

I was really against Goodell with the two game suspension, but everything has gotten so over the top stupid since that I find myself defending him now. I mean wow. "What about the victims?"?

Why not just write "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!"

Really? We're evaluating fictional characters in avatars now?

Im curious.

Why did you choose that Avatar to go with what you have to admit is a pretty aggressive and often hostile posting style?

I was thinking the same thing myself, wondering when the commissioner of a sports league became a law enforcement officer.

What's worse: The legal system that let Rice get away scot-free with just some counseling, or the sports league that suspended him 2 games when they should have suspended him 4? Talk about society's misplaced priorities.

You have proven throughout this thread you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

You know NOTHING.

You are, just like Roger Goodell, LESS THAN ZERO!

Because I am a fan of the TV show and he is (was) a fantastic villain. The type you love to hate. The type everyone is talking about the next day. You show me a great fantasy story (movie or TV) and 9 times out of 10, I'll show you a great villain.

People, this is a fictional character we're talking about here. And while you say my posting style is hostile, I guarantee you I do not dish out a fraction of the insults that are sent at me.

Sure thing, Polly! Now take your parrot out of your ass
Geez, is that the best you can do? Even the bird is seriously unimpressed.

and please tell us all again you idiotic statement which listed the fact she was engaged to a football players as a qualification for commissioner. Or the fact that her dad was a coach. We enjoy the laugh!!
You're trying too hard, Skip, especially with the "we" reference. No one else here shares in your oddly vacant perspectives or failed attempts at humor/sarcasm. I mean, if you at least tried presenting something factual on occasion or ... Wait a second now. Are you a Jets fan, perchance? Come clean, Skippy boy.

Yes. lol. God. Wow.

WTF.

But the editors and people who put together these headlines and covers know exactly what they're doing. This is chum for people picking it off the newspaper stands. Another week of this and maybe we'll be asking how Roger was allowed to whip a kid in an elevator and keep his job

How can you tell? Is he not moving around inside you as much as usual?

While I certainly admit my opinions are in the minority, if you don't see anyone saying similar things to what I have said, you just aren't reading the threads.

All this talk of avatars and best shows ever.

Mangini, Rob Parker, Peyton, Suggs, Richard Sherman, the Hound.

http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/nfl-co...ticized-airplane-banners-tv/story?id=25501781

Sunday was a difficult day for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Commentators on NFL pregame shows questioned his leadership, while banners flew over three stadiums, the message simple: “Goodell Must Go,” with criticism simmering over the commissioner’s handling of players accused of domestic violence.

The women’s advocacy group UltraViolet was behind the banners, which appeared in Cleveland, San Francisco and East Rutherford, N.J. Another banner plane is slated to fly over Indianapolis Monday.

“It is time for Roger Goodell to resign, and for the NFL to get serious about its commitment to ending violence against women within the league,” Nita Chaudhary, co-founder of UltraViolet, said in a release.

Wait a second now. Are you a Jets fan, perchance? Come clean, Skippy boy.
The truth hurts:

SB39 is nothing more than an unemployed NY Jets fan living in his mother's basement with a poster of Roger Goodell on the wall as a NY Jets intern.

Not even SpyGate produced a Super Bowl for the New Jersey Sewage Rats, still formally known as the NY Jets until Roger Goodell gets the boot. Now that is a cover up.

Since when is working in the U.S. government "service?" That's just something politicians say.
What it really means is you get to back your ideology with the U.S. military for a few years, make ridiculous international connections, set yourself up to make millions of dollars, and wield great power.

Hey, thanks for your sacrifice and "service." Let me know if you need a five.

???

That's progress. The next step is to ask yourself why.
Because, as evidenced in countless threads on this forum, many people don't realize what the job of the commissioner is.

Every time I see someone hating on Goodell for something unpopular the league is doing such as 18-game schedules, London franchises, expanding the playoffs, as so on, that's just Goodell doing one of the things he is supposed to do: take heat off the owners for unpopular moves.

People who criticize Goodell for those things say he is doing a bad job as commissioner, not realizing that their misdirected criticism proves he is doing exactly what he is supposed to do and being the front man while the true powers of the league stay safely away from the negative publicity.

Goodell acted stupidly, and how he and the Ravens didn't realize the entire football fanbase outside of Baltimore wouldn't see it as criminally absurd is beyond me.

So he takes the heat, and it's dumb, just dumb, just stupid.

Robert Kraft comes out and says publicly he acted "excellent."

So here's a question for everyone getting roped into this madness.

Should Kraft go with him? There's a certain Basketball owner that won't be attending many games anymore.

I mean...

"What about the victims?"

Gee whiz golly gee...if only Belichick had campaigned for a lighter ban maybe ol' Unca Rog woulda softened the franchise destroying rip off of their 1st round pick, a million dollar fine, millions in ancillary revenues lost by this pinheaded branding and the hatred directed blindly at the Patriots and its fans to this day.

Let's see...aggravated felony assault...2 game ban

camera out of position...what?...5 minutes at halftime of the Pats home opener?...sounds about right...relatively speaking. Unless you are the sort of mindless moron that sees camera placement as a far more serious offense compared to AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND BATTERY.

Outlandish propaganda at its worst!

SB39 is the Josef Goebbels of NY Jets Nation.
