Lmao another Amendola thread! Mods should just start an Amendola forum with this type of volume.

While its definitely concerning it has only been 2 games. seems like wide outs who struggle early here never succeed so hopefully he gets it going this week.

I guess sarcasm is lost on you.

I wasn't being sarcastic, just my opinion on a couple players. Which is what this board is for. However you must feel one of the players I mentioned has potential because you seem to take offense to the opinion on the players having no potential. So you probably feel Lafell and or Amendola have potential. That's really good because nobody that signs or awards NFL paychecks believe those 2 have any potential worth what they are being payed. They tried to trade Amendola and nobody was interested. The only reason Lafell is a patriot is because no other team wanted him which made him a cheap signing. Patriots FO wanted Emmanuel Sanders but he had other offers which meant he went over the patriot $3million limit. Loser Lafell jumped all over the patriot offer because nobody else offered him that much. No other team offered him anything. Lafell would be making NFL minimum right now and that's if he is lucky enough to be in the NFL at all. After Edelman won the slot job the patriots shopped Amendola and his garunteed contract this year LOL. Surprisingly nobody wanted a WR making $6 million who has averaged less than 10 ypc for his career. Not trying to insult his talent but I can't think of any team in the NFL where he would replace one of their top 2 starters except the jets maybe. Anyways Dobson and Kenbrell have more upside and speed than Lafell and Amendola and should get a chance to be goto playmakers I know for sure Brady likes working with them a lot, especially Kenbrell. Somebody on here a week or so ago posted Amendola runs a 4.8 40 right now. If its true I don't see how he has potential to perform any better. I rooted for Amendola last year. Now I like kenbrell Tompkins to break out

I am just suggesting LaFell receive the same amount of time as Amendola to prove himself. LaFell is a better and more talented player, and LaFell offers value as a blocker and on special teams.

Prove himself to who? I,m pretty sure they have an experienced guy making these player acquisitions and he gets along vey well with the coach, so they obviously proved enough for him to sign them.

Is there someone else players need to prove themselves to? Contracts change, but they're both available right now because the coach and the GM agreed they should be.

Do you read the actual threads or just troll through looking for **** to argue about, because clearly, you did not read this thread very well, or you did not comprehend it at least. Fans, people on this board, according to the OP they are calling for LaFell to be a game day inactive or cut.

You are in an alternate reality that I do not travel too, so I cannot answer that question for you.

I read crap threads like this because we rarely get good threads anymore, which used to be commonplace in the past

So you're saying, if people are being idiots, I have to pay attention to them. It's instructive that i have advocated the crucifying or beheading of two of our players and, rather than seeming bizarre, it fits right in with the spirit of the thread.

"Fans" on the board these days are about as interesting as little girls at a Justin Bieber concert as far as what they have to say relates to our football team.

Take that up with MG. I have read this board for years and the content seems as strong as ever. I think the long time users go to is to knock the board when they are huffy, I say to them go check out Planet because I am sure you will be back within 24 hours humbled.

As a general rule I do not conclude people are idiots just because I do not agree with their opinion.

You're full of it. If you had, you'd be ashamed of what you and a bunch of other teenage girl gossips have done to it.

Our defensive effort was tremendous last week, especially having worked in newer players. What are we talking about? Silly Phantasy gossip from posters who think the league only consists of quarterbacks and receivers.

Did you close it? He signed with the Patriots that is enough to have a thread on the Patsfans forum.

Here's the whole thread.

What do you think of LaFell?

Too early to tell [/end thread]

I should be ashamed; yes, because I am sure it was stimulating back when you and the others who I will not name (but we know who they are) were having these great discussions where one miserable human tells the other miserable human that they “saw this with their eyes, blah, blah”. You have to be ****ing kidding me right, 95% of what you say on this board is wasted banter where you give someone crap to fill your time. If anything, my fantasy football crowd and I added some actual football intelligence to this board. I can tell you one thing; I have forgotten more about football than you will ever know, so before you tell me that I ruined the board you had better take a good hard look in the mirror. The people who ruin the board are the ones like you who are too concerned with pissing on every thread like a male dog trying to mark his territory. The 6-8 posters who I will not name (but we know who they are) who think that disparaging others is adding value, who take issue with posters like me because we dare to come onto what they view as “their board” and share are opinions. You should be embarrassed that you are so insecure that new posters on this board threaten you.

I literally laughed aloud when I read this post; I mean some of you who I will not name (but we know who they are) are delusional, you actually believe that you are having good discussions until that awful Brady6 comes along with his stats, workout numbers, or game images. That reality just throws those who saw what with their poor eyesight discussions into a tizzy I suppose.

Have you figured out Wilfork's body fat percentage yet?

I think you have the wrong person, I never talk about body weight percentages, ever. Nice try though.

Remember when I said wasted banter, well if you want to see a real life example your post right here is print worthy.

LaFell is younger, bigger, faster, more athletic, and has more production in his career, so to give him 2 games but allow the 5’10” UDFA with a YPC average of below 10 in his career 2 seasons to prove himself is just illogical on every level of life, and an indication of questionable knowledge about football.
I can't remember the last time the Patriots tried an end zone jump ball with a taller receiver. Seems an obvious play to me. That said, I'm not going to fault Brady for hitting Edelman and Gronk. They're the Patriots two best pass catchers and create separation.

Moving forward, hopefully the performance of the OL allows Brady that extra half a second to go beyond his first and second reads.

Two key details about Lafell that may not afford him many chances:

1. He's only making 3 yrs 9 million with just 3 million guarenteed.

2. He's a WR3 type talent. This isn't trying to get Ochocinco or Lloyd on page with Brady, who were studs at some point in the league.

I still feel it's a futile effort to get Brady in sync with post-groin injury Amendola and a career average at best WR in Lafell.

1. Edelman
2. Dobson
3. KT

IMO, BB should move on with this trio as our main WR core, but clearly he disagrees.

Dobson's 6'3" and good in the end zone.

Dobson, LaFell and Gronk would all appear to be end zone match up nightmares especially when you combine the three. Why not give them an opportunity to make a play?

My hope is the incorporate Tim Wright over the next few weeks, I think getting back to the 12 personnel will benefit Brady; it will give him 2 bigger targets, along with Dobson at the X-WR and Edelman as the flanker. It will also allow them to keep Gronkowski in to pass block when needed to give Brady some extra protection.

I think we need to look into finding a RB who can pick up the blocks as well, even if that is using Develin in the backfield on third downs more, that is actually where Woodhead is most missed in a lot of ways.
