Woodson and Branch are 1 and 2 in the league on safety tackles vs the run. Nuff said. Their front 7 reeks.

Wouldn't be shocked if Ridley goes off for 200+ yards with a couple of long ones... should be fun to watch.

While I agree with you that we'll likely continue to try and take advantage of the run as our main gameplan, I also wouldn't be surprised to see them attempt to work some of the kinks out of the passing game in certain situations just as well.

2 weeks into the season is just not enough of a sample to feel a lot of certainty that their rush D is that bad.....not to mention our OL is still working out the kinks.

With that said, I agree that the 'sense' is the Patriots should move the ball on these guys and, ultimately, get the W. Given the upcoming schedule after Sunday, it would be one serious punch to the mind to come away with an L to the Raiders.

I would love to see the Pats use their jumbo line package and mix a ton of rushing with a lot of play action and some screens. It's a great chance to practice and fine-tune this stuff in a game that the Pats should be able to win handily. Let the OL get some confidence and punish some people, and don't expose Brady to getting hit too much.

Raiders have given up 400 yards at 5 a carry through 2 weeks. That's awful run defense.

Chris Ivory & Arian Foster aren't bad players but 200 yards a game is embarrassing for the Raiders front 7.

So does that mean if the Pats rush for 250 yards and Brady throws for 150, we are going to have another week of "Brady is pissed with the offense" and "Does Brady have any weapons?"?

It's gonna be hard to top that game at Buffalo two seasons ago where Ridley and Bolden just went wild

The back-to-back games against Buffalo and Denver in 2012 were wild: 247 yards rushing against Buffalo, followed by 251 against Denver the following week.

Tomorrow's game makes me think of this board classic:

What would make you even question this? Of course it does.

If he threw for 300 yards but Edelman and Gronk caught the majority of passes people would still be saying it. If he did spread the ball around they would be saying he lost faith in Gronk and Edelman.

I keep seeing this mentioned. A trap game is when they are flying high and feeling confident. I cant imagine that is the 14 pats at this point. I would think this team is still reeling from the Dolphins game and they admitted that the O in the last game was out of synch. If anything the Pats are in "prove it" mode with the league, the fans, the press, their coach, and most importantly to themselves.

You think think this team at this point would take any team for granted?

I just remember the Browns game in 2010 any time I'm thinking the Patriots are going to run over some team.

I also then recall the Titans game in 2009 when I'm worried about a close game.

Anything can happen.

Aaaaaaaaaaand maybe they don't.

Aaaaaaaaaaand maybe they don't.

When a team stinks up the joint that badly in one aspect of the game, they tend to work on it in future games.

One aspect? The offense stunk up the joint badly in all aspects of the game, again.

Ridley averaged 3 yards per carry against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL.

OT: Meanwhile, PITT ran all over one of the best run defenses in the league, with Blount producing a lot of the damage.

Sprint/stretch plays are not Ridley's strength. Much like between the tackles for vereen.

Neither of those compare to Bolden's total lack of ability to run the Damn football when he is unable to stick needles in his @$$...

This thread and the "I'm All in on Aaron Dobson" thread are comedy gold!

C'mon posters, top these 2 massive misfires with more unintended hilarity this week!
