Things About to Get Ugly in Baltimore

I think we can scratch the Ravens off the list of teams we have to worry about this season.

It seems pretty clear they were covering something up. Biscotti claimed that Rice lied to them and Ozzie Newsome claimed that Rice told them everything that was on the tape. Looks to be a disconnect with the lies.

And got away with it. You or me? Life. Even just being involved, let alone "obstruction" in a murder case, you're rollin' upstate. Everyday Joe's life is over. Ray plays another decade, get's a cushy job as an "analyst", and consideration to Canton. Reality.

Let's be honest though, how much uglier can things get in Baltimore?

Am I right?

Five to one odds it breaks in the Sunday papers, right before their game.

Yet, the actual justice system doesn't care enough to even try the case? Where's the outrage there?

I've been saying the same thing since day 1. No one cares that Rice entered a diversionary program and charges were dropped, but damn the NFL to hell for suspending him 2 games when they should have suspended him 6!

Does it really matter anymore?

The Ravens/NFL will deny it, throw some BS legal jargon answers. Fans will be pissed, but won't actually stop watching the games. The NFL will keep making billion of dollars and the media will get bored of and move on to the next story.

I'm sick of this story now. Not because it doesn't deserve to be scrutinized, but because it's not leading to anything. We already know the NFL lied, they are going to keep lying. The NFL is a bunch of scumbags and its never going to change.

It is amazing how after a series of stupid and greedy decisions the entire situation spinned out of control for the Ravens. Makes you appreciate how the Pats handled the media throughout the Hernandez debacle last year even more.

I wonder how many of the Ravens upper management this will take down. Get me some popcorn, I will enjoy seeing that dumpster fire.

With his wife sitting by his side in a conference room, Rice told Goodell that he hit her and knocked her out, according to four sources.
Four sources said Ravens executives, including Bisciotti, Cass and Newsome, urged Goodell and other league executives to give Rice no more than a two-game suspension, and that's what Goodell did on July 24.
Minutes later, Rice's phone buzzed. He could scarcely believe what he was looking at-- back-to-back text messages from Bisciotti. Rice read them aloud so everyone in the room could hear them:

Hey Ray, just want to let you know, we loved you as a player, it was great having you here. Hopefully all these things are going to die down. I wish the best for you and Janay.

When you're done with football, I'd like you to know you have a job waiting for you with the Ravens helping young guys getting acclimated to the league.

Sounds like ravens tried to kill the story early on. Org should be punished, but the commish is incompetent.

The Ravens are a classless organization run by classless people. How could they ever be expected to make sound judgment calls based on moral ethics?

These are the same people that idolized a known scumbag and even gave the guy a statue. This "story" should surprise no-one. The Ravens are, and forever will be scum as long as the same ownership group and management are in place.
