Week 3 Thursday Night Football - Bucs at Falcons

6.New England Patriots 59-0 Tennessee Titans Oct. 18, 2009-- tied modern era record
6.Los Angeles Rams 59-0 Atlanta Falcons Dec. 4, 1976-- tied modern era record

glorious day

I hope that a game ball found its way to the then-retired Rodney Harrison and another went to that smug weasel Jeff Fisher

Bucs are consistent under performers.

You gotta feel for Logan who wound up on such a crap team.

That has to be an embarrassment for Lovie Smith and the Buccaneers.

Thought there would be at least 3 or 4 front page columns condemning Mike Smith for running up the score, but no *.

* take only if prodded by trollish media and the Patriots win by more than 2 TDs.

That has to be an embarrassment for Lovie Smith and the Buccaneers.

Lovie actually said this:

"I thought I had our football team ready to play."

The only 2 statistical categories in which Tampa led were turnovers and penalties. The number of missed blocks and tackles and errors was just mind-boggling. The Bucs were so pitifully prepared to compete in a short week, it was a huge indictment of Lovie and the coaching staff. They're not an untalented team, but they were completely unprepared, and horrible in the fundamentals.

I didn't watch the game. Between the over saturation of games, and the flags that were sure to come, I had no interest.

Well done, NFL.

The bit I watched was like one of those college games between Alabama and East Alabama Dental College. It's only Week 3, but still ...

The Bucs may go 0-16.

Aside from last night's abomination, they lost 34-6 to the Freakin' Vikings and 19-17 to perhaps the SECOND worst team in the NFL the St Louis Rams (at HOME!).

This game, and the 0-3 year so far for the Tampa Bay Bucanneers, is an EXCELLENT illustration of just how much of a difference an elite and top paid Left Guard can make for a team......

They face the Steelers, Saints and Ravens next, so it's not going to get easier. They also have the Falcons, Saints and Panthers again, and the Packers, Lions, Bengals and Bears. They have a lot of work to do to be competitive with those teams.

I doubt they'll go 0-16, but they have to improve considerably to do better than last year's 4-12.

Excellent comparison. I watched the first 3 quarters, and it was all like that. And this is no exaggeration. To me, this game was just more of embarrassment for the NFL. It almost seemed at times that no play could be run by Tampa that wasn't going to end in one kind of disaster or another--and at times as if any actual pass reception (an amazing thing to begin with) wd end for a certainty in a strip fumble.

What is sweeeeeeeeeet is that, in addition to Tim Wright, we got THEIR 4th rounder, right?

It could very well be the 1st pick of day 3!!!!!!!!

Julio Jones gave me 28 points in fantasy last night. 9 receptions, 161 yards, 2 TD's. Not sure who Ladies and Edelman is in the PatsFans league, but I'm already beating him 28-7. :)

So sad that Lavonte David has to languish away on that dumpster fire of a team.

TBs defense looked as if they were poorly coached. If you can't rush the passer you can't play a cover 2 defense especially in a dome team with a solid offense.

Which game are you referring to? I don't think they played the Vikings this year

My bad. They lost to the vaunted Carolina Panthers.

The vaunted St Louis Rams, who beat the Bucanneers in Tampa, lost to the vaunted Vikings 34-6.

Basically, out of a pool of swill, right now, it looks like the Bucs are the swilliest.
