Why Isn't The Media Asking Peyton About Off-Field Violence/Arrests?

Denver players have 8 off-field arrests or citations by 7 players since Peyton Manning came aboard in early 2012.

During that same period, New England has had 2 by 2 players (although one was a DOOZY)

I have many snarky comments I could post on the subject, but It has more to do with the Patriots than Tom Brady specifically (I believe). Or more the media's generic formula for driving web clicks.

Plus Elway's son is also a wife/girlfriend beater and apparently a hair puller too!

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...n-elway-gets-probation-for-domestic-violence/

According to a statement given to police then, the younger Elway pulled out parts of her hair while dragging her out of his car and pushing her to the ground.

I wonder if he has a job with the Broncos? Its not like NFL coaches and GMs routinely hire their kids (cough, cough, cough, Steven, cough, cough).

This brings me back to an article I remember reading in 2004-2005(?) about Tom Brady. At the time, he was being portrayed as the "Golden Boy" who could do no wrong and was pure as the driven snow. I remember him being quoted in the article saying he was just another guy, with all the vices that most guys have, including watching porn and drinking a bit. The point was that he's a normal guy. He never wanted to be portrayed as some sort of saint or "voice of a generation".

Seyton, on the other hand, has a carefully crafted media image. It's not hard to imagine that he wouldn't do even one interview where the questions are not pre-screened. I can imagine anything to do with the domestic violence reports of late would be struck from the list. No controversies for Seyton because the media fallout is too unpredictable.

Brady, on the other hand, plays football, is a family man, does his charity thing, and doesn't really pay a lot of mind to what people think; at least, not enough to put up a false front to the media.

Peyton is busy talking about how legalizing weed in Colorado has seen his profits in Papa John's increase.

It makes me sick. I don't blame Brady for not talking to these bums about this topic. Good for him. They would have just taken his words and used them against him. They do it all the time. Hypocrites!

"Hey, maybe we should ask Peyton about this stuff too, since he's high profile, the Broncos have a recent history with arrests, and..."

"Chicken Parm you taste so goooooooood..."

"Ah forget it, what a lovable character he is! Leave him be."

What is Payton or Tom going to say about this. Who cares

Regarding Tom? You've evidently been away from the internet, newspapers and radio lately.

Regarding Peyton? You're absolutely right.

I read what Tom said and he was professional, but what are they actually going to say. No one will be praising Rice/AP, there's nothing to say.

maybe because Peyton had to settle his own sexual harassment suit while at Tennessee?
Excellent memory recall!

With Brady's post-college resume making it on line, it is just a matter of time before the haters accuse Brady and Michigan of NCAA violations based on his TB's cushy summer jobs in state.

It is amazing the Broncos don't receive more scrutiny. Their executives are drunks, the players live for jail time, Seyton and his Tennessee junk attack etc etc

PS...anyone see the 2 hour Whitey Bolger feature on CNN last night....I highly recommend it. At least the Patriots name didn't pop up in that one........yet:)

Because the media is the scum of the American people, and one must go to subterranean levels to find any `professional` more wretched than they are.
