Yeah, please save the "then don't listen" comments, I get it.

But I am tired of all this offense talk on the radio though. Some of the talk is getting stupid. They overanalyze every Belichick and Brady press conference to dig conspiracy theories that that either Brady is really upset with the entire system, Belichick is fed up with Brady, Brady is mad at Belichick and McDaniels, etc.

Also, they are trotting out all these stats. After two games? When one of the games the Pats only passed 22 times and the other one they passed like crazy at the end because they were down? The stats are skewed at this point.

I understand the offense isn't where it needs to be and needs to get better, but the offense was awesome for one half, awful for another half, and played a lot of ball control in the second game (they had two WRs and six linemen for the majority of the game). It is hard to get a full picture of what this offense is at this point and the offense should naturally get better with Gronk and Dobson getting healthier and more acclimated back from their injuries.

Ya but that's the typical Boston media for you. Gotta complain about something. But outside of the bad 2nd half in Miami it is complete overblown and the whole he doesn't trust anyone else and is locking on Edelman and Gronk is overblown as well. Here is Brady's targets to WR and TE

17- Gronk
15- Edelman
10- Thompkins
6- Amendola
6- LaFell
4- Wright
2- Dobson
1- Hoomanawanui

"Then don't listen."

Seriously, I do't listen to much talk radio anymore because it's so intolerable. But I've read and seen enough to know how this "Brady locking in" talk is getting. Last night on Twitter, Volin weighed in on this:

Here's a good example of Brady not looking at Amendola. Quick throw to Edelman for 8 yards, but Amendola has a TD

Love all the responses telling Volin how wrong his analysis is — basically, Edelman already has the ball, so the defenders have started their pursuit. Which makes everyone look open. That's probably the same reason Gronk is also WIDE open going down the seam.

Even Bedard weighed in:

@BenVolin That's an example of coverage dictating target. CB gave 10 yard cushion. Brady took easy money, which is what they teach, esp 2-16

For a much better — and thorough — analysis — check out Doug Kyed's timeline from last night.

Probably not the best comparison since the Packers are missing James Jones currently. Gronk and Edelman through two weeks have 32 combined targets. The other six guys have 29 combined targets... and that's with Brady connecting with 5 different receivers in the first half of the Dolphins game. Again, this should be something that gets fixed going forward, but it's also worth monitoring for now.

Wait till this week. I got a feeling he will be spreading out the ball more. Mainly cause we will be up 50-0 so Gronk and Minitron will come out of the game

felger and mazz are known to do this so this is no surprise to me

The Packers will be missing Jones for awhile considering he plays for Oakland now.

Lou Merloni spent 4 hours yesterday railing against the use of 6 O linemen to implement last week's running game at the expense of a passing game. This followed 3 months of summer railing against an offense lacking a running game. Totally contrived radio. And don't get me started onTim "Mr. Steeler" Benz and Frat Boy Faurier. Just awful...

Yep. Event though he's not setting the world on fire in Oakland, both Nelson and Cobb miss his big play ability over in Green Bay.

When I tire of their talk on the radio. I change the station.

At least it's no longer 24/7 baseball talk.

Chicken Little Radio...WCLR....Clear Channel networks masterstroke

What does James Jones have to do with anything?

But the fact is that's how it usually is, the top 2 receivers see the majority of the targets. The Boston media is blowing up like In Brady's 77 attempts 65 of them have been to Edelman or Gronkowski.

Brady has been absolutely 100% correct to go Edelman. In his 15 targets he has 12 catches.

Violin is so f****** clueless. If anyone on this board cites Violin I will not be able to take said post seriously.

Even I, as a guy who doesn't chug the Kool-Aid like most people, think Felger & Mazz can be obnoxiously cringe worthy.

When Mazz started saying (in a completely serious tone) that Brady's post-game frustration "obviously meant he's afraid of Garoppolo taking his job", I simply changed the channel. Over-the-top homerism is bad but over-the-top hyperbole TMZ-esque "hot takes" are even worse.

I have to imagine they're simply trolling and creating "hot takes" to make for a more interesting show. I mean, they spent 4 hours, the day the NFL season kicked off, discussing when Bill is eventually going to trade Brady away. Men are no different than females. Drama and controversy (our version of soap operas) is what gets the ratings and the Boston media acts accordingly.

Brady doesn't come out glowing in the post game press conference, saying he wants the offense to play better: "OMG Brady is pissed about his lack of weapons/gameplan/contract! CLEARLY there's a rift forming!"

Then people wonder why he doesn't want to make a comment on the domestic violence situation, because obviously words always get construed in the appropriate context by people whose income is directly proportional to the amount of verbal dogshit that falls out of their mouths.

With James Jones still on the Packers, the targets would be down for both Nelson and Cobb and, more than likely, they would be more evenly distributed. Brady is correct to go to Edelman because he breaks open faster than anyone else on the team and Brady has been under pretty consistent pressure. Like I keep saying, when that changes, he'll give the other routes a chance to develop.

all I care about is the defense can they play at a near elite level all year if its yes then the pats will win a SB if they play at a just above average level then Brady will have to play like he did in 2010 not a ton of yards but pretty much mistake free football

Tim Benz cannot get run out of this town quickly enough for me.

I would not have thought it remotely possible that any host could make me miss Salk and/or Mutnansky, but Benz has done it. What an obnoxious dink.

Last week it was Ray Rice all day all of the time, this week it is all Peterson all of the time... with a dash of Pats Football thrown in and a pinch of Goodell...

I have turned the whole thing off.. they have have gone into the realm of complete obnoxiousness...

I can't listen anymore, it is almost as though one group needs to be more outrageous than the other..

This guy Benz is a complete butthole, no idea where they found him..
