I don't think 70 will happen, but I'd love to see it for the caterwauling that would happen in the media afterward. Unlike some others, I've moved beyond being frustrated with the double standard or even merely accepting of it. I embrace it. **** the haters...
Yep, and anyone who thinks "running up the score" is a real thing has the wrong attitude about sport too, you play to win and you don't ease up. If the opponent isn't good enough to stop a team it isn't the better teams fault.

There's no mercy rule in professional sport.

I think that running up the score is the least of the worries for the New England Patriots offense right now. Check out where they stand in passing offense statistics through the first two weeks of the season.

I don't know if they will win by two TD's Oakland is the worst run defense in the NFL so it should be a grand it out 3 to 7 point win unless Oakland turns it over 4 times like the Vikings did

Where do you get this from? The Patriots completely annihilate bad teams. Like... annihilate.
Most of the league despises us because we beat them by 40 points.
How about the 27 to 26 win over Cleveland last year. It took a recovered onside kick in the last few minutes of the game to win.
The Patriots scored 14 points in about a minute to get the lead. We fans had to sweat out a last second field goal that
missed.

Pat's finally playing home and it's Home Opener and Raiders in town is a perfect Trifecta for Pat's Offense to explode put up BIG Numbers especially Brady. Pat's win this in Double Digits just ask Raider's Fans in their Forums.

Cleveland have a good defense and Josh Gordon tore Talib a new one. The Raiders don't have a good defense or Josh Gordon.

Unless injury plays a factor, the Patriots are going to destroy the Raiders.

ESPN notes that rookie QB Derek Carr's QB Rating against the blitz is 4.
That's good for 34th place in the league.

I hate big point spreads like this. The Raiders have a lot to prove and the Patriots might go into this one playing not to lose. The Pats defense sucked for an entire half against the Dolphins and for the first ten minutes of the Vikings game. We don't really know what this offense is capable of yet.

The Patriots identity through two games is Inconsistent.

My head tells me 31 - 10. My gut tells me 24-21. Pats win.

We have issues if the pats only win by 3

Call me crazy, but if this game was in Oakland I would just take the points. But in Foxboro, all bets are off. I'm the kind of guy who almost always just takes the points on a 15 point spread, but the Raiders are so ****ing terrible that I just don't think I can take them on the road no matter how many points they're getting.

They're totally devoid of young talent. They went into cap Hell and got out, but they missed on high draft pick after high draft pick over the years. So now, what they have is a collection of mediocrity and over-the-hill veterans on both sides of the ball.
Not sure I completely agree with this statement. Denarius Moore, Sio Moore, Khalil Mack, Rod Streater, Latavius Murray, D.J. Hayden and Mychal Rivera all have some talent. For some reason, the Raiders don't seem capable of developing that talent.

They need to start with cleaning up their front office. Have the owner stay the hell out of team building affairs, fire McKenzie and Allen, hire a new GM and hope for a turnaround in the draft. They have to start by building a younger foundation and can't keep missing in the draft.

I feel bad for McKenzie, because if he gets fired then he basically got the rawest deal in the history of GMs. His entire tenure there has been about cleaning up Al Davis' mess. He inherited a capped out team with no talent and no draft picks, and however bad they are now, at least they have their picks and a relatively clean cap sheet.

And at the end of the day, I suspect that all he accomplished for doing the dirty work is making his successor's job less impossible than his was.

which is especially hilarious considering the nearest In-N-Out to Foxborough is in Texas. :D

Yikes. Every couple of years I consider moving back east, but In 'N Out is just amazing. I dunno if I could handle being that far from it, especially since we're finally getting some Dunkin Donuts out here.

They are. Pats will win by at least that.

Plus I am going to the game on Sunday and I will be in the luxary box. They never lose when I am in the luxary box. :D

Ok everyone chip in and get this person a luxury box for every game! :D

I might watch this game at my buddy's house who is a Raider fan. I already feel bad so I probably won't go, but if I do I'll have to bring over two cases of beer just to make up for what's to come.

****, that's only 4 points better than me.
