Just another pathetic case in which Florio and the drones at PFT find a way to bash the Pats. Referencing TB12's comments on the D&C show yesterday, PFT and other radio hosts (Dan Patrick) are attacking Brady saying that he needs to speak up on the issue. Is it that slow of a news day? TB12, the guy that participates in at least 4 charirites himself, not counting Giselle, doesn't speak out?

"The owners of the league, the commissioner of the league, the teams themselves, the players that are involved, they’re the ones that are speaking on it. It’s not really my responsibility to speak out about those things, because there are a lot of other people doing the talking."

Tom summed it up perfectly, why/what is he going to say to diffuse or help the situtation? Are we supposed to wonder now each game is TB is OK with domestic violence since he didn't speak against it?

In short, shut up Florio and go back to your Pats hating hole.

God, that piece was wretched. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Brady's comments nor his conduct. He's right to stay focused on his game and his team, and I can't really fathom how Brady injecting himself would have any impact on how this debacle (or series of debacles, really) unfolds.

I don't get it. So because of certain players actions, every player is now to be held accountable? I think that's cheap.

God, what B.S. click bait. Lets paint a player minding his own business in a negative light because he won't give you a headline.

Where is the article calling out Forehead for not speaking up? Or any other player for that matter?

I've never agreed with these types of arguments, that high profile athletes have a responsibility to fight whatever social injustices other people think should be important to them. You can ALMOST make a case for it when the person is a direct member of the community that needs outreach (i.e, a black athlete trying to further racial equality), but even then I oppose the notion of forced participation in that cause. In Brady's case, why is HE required to speak up? Does he represent everyone who doesn't beat their kids?

Will not read as it's on PFT. Gave that place up like just like I did Felger and Maz.

But going from the responses: bashing Brady because he isn't speaking out on domestic violence or child abuse? Do they know what charities and causes he supports? Please review the list below:

And the causes:

Brady is the spokes person for Best Buddies. His sister Nancy is very much a social activist who does a lot of work for the poor in Africa and recruits Brady all the time to fund raise and create awareness. Brady is an active supporter of KaBOOM which is a non-profit that helps build parks and other play areas for children in poor communities to help fight childhood obesity.

Brady is very much a social activist. Just because he does not want to get involved in the domestic violence issues in the NFL doesn't change that.

Me (after last week)

Well, maybe we better reduce expectations. What can you do if your O-line can't keep the QB upright? But that's OK. No one is entitled to success. Every team has to expect ups and downs, and Pats fans have forgotten what it is to have a down year.

Me (now)

God, I hate Florio! That little twerp is just a mean little sac of pus who exists to demean and diminish those around him. It would serve him right if the Pats ground every other team into the dirt and wiped that grin off his smug little face.

On a vaguely related note. How many patriots have their own charities? I know Wilfork does and I know Deion Branch has one as well

A number of years ago, Brady spent 8 days in Ghana and Uganda visiting health clinics and schools in a ONE fund initiative and has remained active in battling poverty in Africa since then. I wonder when Florio last visited an impoverished, third world nation on a benevolent mission.

Matt Light, definitely. Whether Tedy Bruschi and Joe Andruzzi have their own or are simply very active in existing charities I don't know.

Florio has been using his site as a platform for his warped ideas on social justice for a long time now. It's no surprise that he, or his underlings, would call out Brady. The prescription for reading PFT remains the same:

Read it for the actual football information. Ignore everything else.

Jarvis Green is another who springs to mind -- I'm sure there are MANY more.
