How do you think week 2's defense (at Minnesota) would fare against Denver's offense?

I personally think if this defense plays the way they did yesterday, all be it a weak AP-less Minnesota offense, we will match up very well with Denver's offense. The two biggest elements to stopping Peyton-

Have great coverage.
Get in his face and knock him down.

I really feel we have the talent on defense to do both of those things this year.

My feeling is Manning would have picked on an exposed whoever was replacing Collins.

From the parts that I've seen (and I still haven't seen the entire game), our secondary at full strength (and with Collins back) would match up very well with Denver. Assuming that we could get some effective pressure on Manning, I think we'd fare reasonably well, and I don't think Denver's running game is good enough to compensate. It probably comes down to getting pressure up front, staying aggressive, and throwing Manning out of his comfort zone.

Essentially that would be Hightower because we would have played nickel base. Nink plays de and HT plays Collins re in base when Collins is out.
Skinner would not have seen the field more than a couple of snaps.

I think Revis can shut down Demaryius Thomas.

Collins will do a good job on Julius Thomas. He'll give up yards, but he'll do a decent job covering him.

Logan Ryan/Dennard with help from McCourty over top on Sanders.

Chandler Jones and Hightower getting to Peyton will be key though.

Right now Denver will kill this team not because our defense though but because the offense still needs time to get things sorted out once that happens New England should be able to hand le Denver
