Vikings RB Adrian Peterson indicted for child abuse; deactivated for Pats game at Minnesota

I think it's absurd to close a forum for that. AP is disgraced for what he did but why punish people who have posted a lot on that forum and frequent it. I'm sure most would condemn Peterson. Dumb to close a forum for something a player did. Why not close Patsfans for Aaron Hernandez being murderer if that makes sense?

Granted the Vikes f'ed up by reinstating him shortly before new charges arose.
Ummmm exactly the vikes reinstated him lol.. What's not to get? The pats didn't reinstate Hernandez did they?

Wow!, just WOW!!! on some of the comments on this thread about this. I had to reread it a few times to make sure I was reading it correctly. Some scary people out there that should be NOWHERE near a child. WOW!:(

I do remember that case. I thought the woman was lying the whole time.

There should be a law that if the accuser is found clearly lying the accuser should be jailed for at least 5 years with no chance of early release.

I do remember that case. I thought the woman was lying the whole time.

Not to mention that the Duke case couldn't be less relevant to this one--where the abuse has been thoroughly documented and photographed.

Any updates with the case?

Most people didn't, and in their rush to side with the "rape victim" and make their "stand" against rape and violence against women, contributed to destroying the lives of innocent people at no expense to themselves.

So again, I don't see why waiting for this to play itself out puts one in the "pro child abuse" camp.
In fact, let me just bluntly say that it doesn't.

Because the facts already have played out. The abuse has been documented and confirmed. Trying to liken this to the Duke lacrosse case is so stupid that I can't come up with words to describe just how stupid it is.

Does anyone remember the Duke University rape case?
A bunch of students had their lives and reputations completely destroyed by a media that lead a nation against them as racist gang rapists. Their lives were absolutely ruined, and everyone, "who the rule of law doesn't apply to because they're the public arena," wanted to bury them for their crimes.

In the end, it turned out the woman accusing them of rape had made the entire story up.

The students were ruined. Their reputations were in tatters.

But the great, just, all knowing masses who convicted them utterly in the court of public opinion, simply got to say "oops" and continue on with their lives.

There's a lesson to be learned there, but apparently anyone who learned it is `unfit to have children` and the scum of the Earth.

Did the Duke players send texts admitting to the alleged rape?

Woahh!!! That's pretty rash. Perhaps you should not jump to such a biased conclusion and let the argument work its way through the system.
What in the hell are you talking about @shmessy? @Fixit, who is now on my ignore list indirectly accused me as an enabler of child abuse despite the fact that I openly stated I believe Peterson is probably guilty of child abuse, my repeated claims that child abusers are the scum of the earth and that when the process runs its course, if found guilty I would like Peterson disqualified from the NFL and to see the inside of a jail cell simply because I refuse to grab my pitch fork right now preferring the case to run its course.

I'm well within my right to react in a manner as such given the frivolity of such a stupid comment. I never have and never will defend child abuse, period.

Look, the guy still gets a chance to defend himself, both in a court of law as well as before the Commissioner (or whomever will be deciding his suspension) - and he's also got the legal right to professional counsel in both cases. Yes, the evidence looks very damning and while I am not one of these "let the legal process play out in full" types, I certainly don't think the NFL (or anyone for that matter) should just be doling out major punishments based on nothing more than initial media reports.

So does Aaron Hernandez, whose trial starts in several weeks.

1) You're assuming that it was an inside job.

To me, it looks like an external hack.

2) The Patriots cut Hernandez' ass within minutes of his arrest.

I rarely put people on ignore, but you just made the list. There is absolutely no logic to this post.

What does the f u c k i n g Duke case have to do with this? You could have picked many other cases to compare to this.

My God is this place nuts.

peterson is a sick coward.
throw him out of the league. if this was brandon bolden or another 3rd string RB, he's out of the league a week ago when the story first broke.

vikings are a joke.
