did i miss something?
Remember if Tom doesn't have a 70+% passing completion, 4 Tds, and 350 yards we can't be happy. Did I get I right?
Tom didn't need to be the goat at QB yesterday. All he needed was to keep drives alive and get points. He completed 68% of his passes yesterday.
People need to understand that with a shaky oline, Tom can't afford to take the hits or time to go through all his reads.
We also had 6 OL (the usual 5 + Fleming at TE) plus Develin on quite a few drives. That's two extra players that aren't WR so in those cases you're only going to have 1-2 WRs on the field.
Tom Brady is second to last in completion percentage, only Henne is worse.
And this is almost 80 attempts, lots of balls thrown and we can't just sit around and say wait for Gronk. Why can't we get a real WR not named Edelman, the rest of the guys disappear so quick it is disgusting to watch.
It was a great win, I just don't understand why people think Gronk will get back to 2011 form, it might not ever happen.
So you gave LaFell 2 games and Amendola gets 2 seasons? That seems rather odd especially considering LaFell has the most career receiving yards and receiving touchdowns of any Patriots WR despite being in the league a year less than Edelman and 2 years less than Amendola.Lafell is starting to remind me of ocho stinko....just not a good pick up. Amendola still has the year to prove his worth to me IMO

That does not answer my question, why does Amendola get 2 seasons but LaFell only gets 2 games? How I feel about Amendola does not matter to the question. We all know how you feel on amendola...we get it

We tried to sign Sanders in the 2013 offseason and we could done it because the Steelers were cap strapped, but we offered a 1-year deal for mid-range money. He could have been signed over Amendola then, and this offseason would have been irrelevant. The Broncos gave Sanders $6 million per year for three years.
We gave LaFell $3 million/year for 3 years.
We gave Edelman $4.25 million/year for 4 years.
If we got into a bidding war with Denver we wouldn't have Edelman or LaFell, and we also get to keep Edelman for 4 years. Oh, and did I mention Edelman is better than Sanders?
Oh, sorry pedant. We "could have" gotten Sanders but if we did we would have been morons. Cue the "Robert Kraft Is Cheap!" marching band.[/QUOTE
It would be moronic to sign a WR who is outperforming Every WR on our roster yet people defend Amendola. LMAOÔOOOOOOOOOO!! They should have made a stronger offer to Sanders when the steelers matched. They pay the slower more limited Amendola $31million but Sanders $2.5 million. Yeah that's not moronic. And you wonder why Brady6 has gone from frustrated with Amendola to downright hate. And let me get this right its better to pay Loser Lafell and completely waste $3million a year than Sanders $5-6 million, a guy who has more yards and ypc than any WR on the patriot roster. So they could have paid a little extra and had Sanders but played it cheap with Loser Lafell and flat out waste $3 million.
I like Dobson and Kenbrell a lot but as of yet there is no proof they will break out. If they don't it means they go into the playoffs with the same offense that has stalled last several playoffs including a Superbowl. And Gronk isn't 100% and at what point do acl injuries and all the other injuries take their toll on his speed, burst and athleticism. We all want him to return to form and I personally think he will. Still wouldn't hurt to have a complete Big play WR. For the members who don't think Sander can be as good with Brady as he is with the broncos doesn't say good things bout Brady and our offense and system. And Edelman is not better than Sanders. they are about even maybe and that's being nice to Edelman. He simply does not have the explosiveness and athleticism of Emmanuel Sanders and he can do things that Edelman can't. Yeah all Homers click disagree button. Fact is Edelman was on the open market after 100 catch season and nobody cared. Patriots told him go test the market and he came back with no real viable offers. I'm happy he did because at least it gives Brady a security blanket. He got no offers because of he is limited. He is good at what he does but is limited. Teams know that, and part of his production is the system and chemistry with Brady after 6 seasons. Its why we would have had to outbid other teams for Emmanuel Sanders. Teams saw his movement skills and actually wanted him. He was even offered a little more than the broncos payed him but wanted to play with Brady or Manning. So the patriots turned to the cheaper Loser Lafail who no other team wanted. Teams have lots of scouts watching tape on these guys in the nfl, not college and analyze their talent and ceiling and Emmanuel Sanders was the WR everybody wanted. That's why the patriots did not get him, they wanted him but so did other teams so they settled for the cheaper guy nobody else wanted. And the patriots offered him more than they offered Edelman that year but the steelers matched the offer. Edelman came back with zero offers and resigned for $700,000. He was the only WR Brady had experience with and became to go to guy. I like Edelman and rooted for him to take Welkers role and always knew he could. But he isn't an elite WR and the offense needs a complete and consistent big play WR to step up or brought aboard by a trade. I agree with Sterling Sharpe, I like Denarius Moore better than Sanders, he needs a qb and system like Sharp said. I'm rooting for Dobson and Kenbrell, especially Kenbrell but until somebody does step up, like somebody here said, them being consistent big play WRs in the offense is an urban legend. And until there is a proven complete playmaker they can't have enough prospects
