Week 2 NFL game discussions

Yeah I just corrected my post the only teams in NFL history to have perfect record in the NFL season was the Pats in 2007 16-0 , 1934 Chicago bears 13-0,1942 Chicago bears 11-0, 1972 dolphins had perfect regular season 14-0. However, it has never been done since 2007 by any other team at least up until this point in time.

The 1972 Miami dolphins is the only team in NFL history to have perfect regular season record and perfect playoff record winning the Superbowl.

I am a little surprised that some here rooting against the 49ers. I mean while Tom Brady and his family are definitely Patriot fans, they are also 49ers fans. Brady and his family were season ticket holders to the 49ers games. Not to mention these two teams are in two different divisions in the NFL. Oh well!

What a tool. He also refused to speak to the media after the game.

Rivers was 5-for-5 for 60 yards throwing at Sherman, after saying he was going to throw his way. Must hurt bad.
Including this

That's what 6 years $126 million gets you?

Nice....................

(I know it's actually a team-friendly deal but still)

Have you read Deus is post in the other Kaepernik thread? The deal that you mention is no where near as bad as it looks on paper. As Kaepernik signed a team friendly deal. You are going to start this non sense about Kaepernik and the 49ers when we are only finished with 2 games out of 16 in the regular season. Did you know last year the 49ers won their 1st game, lost their 2nd game, lost their 3rd game and then won the rest of their regular season games accept for another two later in the regular season.

I mean who knows if the 49ers will do as well as they did in the past 3 years. But it is absolutely crazy to rule gloom and doom for the 49ers based on winning the 1st game and losing the 2nd game.

Also have you seen the mistakes other QBs have made. For example: Aaron Rogers who is considered elite made some bad mistakes in his first game and lost. It doesn't mean Aaron is no longer elite because of it.

This is a team game. Colin made some mistakes tonight, but so did others on the team. So it isn't completely his fault. Same came be said for Aaron Rogers loss on his 1st game.

Colin Kaepernik is not an elite QB by any means but he's a good/decent QB who helped lead his team to two NFC championship games and a Superbowl.

Yes I know, I was partly joking. And I acknowledged the contract in that small writing at the end of my post lol.

I hated Kaepernick when he first came in the league, but I don't mind him too much now. Very good QB - just needs to work on his decision making.

Kap/RGIII haven't improved one bit since their first year.
So the only way Colin would have shown improvement in your eyes is if he didn't lose this game against the bears and went on to have a perfect season. Well a perfect regular season is very hard to do even with an elite QB. I disagree as I think Colin has shown improvements in some areas and still needs improvement in others. I notice you don't say anything bad about Russell Wilson having one of the best defenses, but still losing the game against the chargers so far this season. Although, they won the Super Bowl last year, they still lost 3 games including one loss to the 49ers.

Not a fan of the Seahawks, but I like Russell Wilson. However, I know he has things that he is just great at and a few things that he has to work on.

I'm proud of my boy Hoyer! Been pulling for you ever since you got cut!:D

After the Pats, my favorite team is the Browns. Hoyer makes them even more likable.

Wow, tough day for the "powers" of the NFC: SF, NO, SEA, ATL, everyone was into TB pre-season, DET — all lost. Even GB just scraped by. Interesting start to the season — far from settled.

so, a couple of thoughts on yesterdays games.

1. The broncos while they have 2 wins dont really impress me as much as they did last year. they came away with both those wins by the skin of their teeth and Talib looks like he took that money and is back to being the player he was in tampa rather than NE.

2. Richard Sherman can stop that "greatest CB in the nfl!" stuff now. first week he spent time covering the packers #3 wideout! and this week he was exposed when thrown to 5-5 for 60yards. Rivers went right at him. meanwhile Revis can follow the teams best player around all game

3. The flags in these games are getting to be unbearable. its coming to a point when I am expecting a flag after every play.

Like I said in previous posts, lets not all crown the Seahawks just yet, it is a long season...

Sherman is still one of the best in the biz, but it'll be nice to get a week off from the media fawning all over him about how he "takes away half the field".

When Brady does this, he gets ripped up and down by the Sports media and fans. Peyton does this, and I hear nothing but ***crickets***
Nation wide is on his side, with a pizza, and the girl from 4e

Out of all 32 teams in the NFL: The Bills, the Bengals, the Broncos, the Panthers, the Cardinals and the Texans are the only teams this season to WIN 2 out 2 games. Still a long season ahead of us though, but an interesting list thus far.

I wish the Bears had lost. Desperation would have given them a real edge against the Jets this week.

I can't tell if your your freakishly photoshopped Tim Tebow avatar or your signature with that weird picture of Kaepernick with some quote portraying him as a man of high morals creeps me out more.
