On the other hand, Denver didn't look like the best offense in league history when they scored only once in the SB. It's tough to make generalizations based on one game.

I wasn't even talking about just the broncos game. I'm talking about the past few seasons. They've been average at best. Bend but don't break and rely on turnovers but then when the competition ramps up and playoff offenses don't turn the ball over then the D can't get off the field. And i really don't think draft position is really an excuse. We have invested plenty of high picks into the D.

I was just hoping to see a better product on the field in week 1 with Revis and the returning guys

Guess what!? Revis was used in man to man a ton today and look at what happened?!

You are right : Revis blankets WR. He is a special player. I hope the D is as we've seen (minus second half of Miami game) with the takeaways.

Thank God Belichick read my thread this week.

Not after this one, as Revis’ uncanny anticipation had him mirroring Jennings at times to the point where he actually looked like the intended receiver on some plays. Such was the case on his second-quarter interception, which he said was a result of film study and anticipating what was coming based on a formation they had shown earlier.
