Did you follow Brady prior to his joining the Pats? If you say you did, your lying through your teeth.
No, I did not; I was overseas serving my country. Can you answer my question now; it was a serious question, I am not trying to give you a hard time, I am curious and if you did what you can tell me about him in college, because I did not follow him.

I'm not *****ing about the game. I applaud the Pats deciding to go ground and pound with 6 OL and running the ball, while relying on defense to win the game. I believe that's what they have to do to be an effective team. At his stage in his career, Brady is not going to consistently win dropping back to throw 59 times a game. He'll be injured and replaced by Garoppolo if the Pats keep trying to play like last week.Brady will get the memo, sooner or later.

The defense was great except for two guys. Skinner sucked and I noticed that Harmon seemed to be a little late getting over now and then.

On offense, I loved the commitment to the run. I actually like the way our offense functions when we condense the field and go with less receivers on the field. I like the way things flow when fullback James Develin is on the field and I don't even see the point of going pass heavy if we aren't going to use half of our receivers.

Bolden sucked this game. I'd strongly consider cutting him and Skinner asap.

I'm still of the opinion that Kline should start over Devey, who while not the dumpster fire of last week still underwhelmed. Solder also played another stinker with three penalties. Outside of the opening drive the defense was dominant. However, it was against an average quarterback playing without a top 5 HB. There were also way too many penalties today, the most of any Belichick coached team I believe.

Where were TIm Wright, Lafell, and Amendola today?

I'm also not sold on this hybrid 3-4 and the drafting of Easly is puzzling considering his best fit is in a 4-3.

If we are going to continue to use the 3-4 I think the goal by the end of the season should be:

LOLB – Hightower
LDT – Wilfork
NT – Siliga
RDE – Easley
ROLB – Jones
LILB – Mayo
RILB – Collins

Rotate Ninkovich in for Hightower and Jones to keep everyone fresh.
That's pretty much exactly what I was saying before the season started.

Of course not. I'm pretty sure there aren't too many people who follow Eastern Illinois. It did catch my eye that Romo went there and Grapollo anihilated every passing record he had set. When he was drafted, I watched a lot of video of him, and I read the scouting reports, and I watched him in preseason.

And of course I don't want him playing now. Or next year.

I remember he was the guy who won the big games for Michigan but the media always preferred glory boy Drew Henson. That's about it.

Garoppolo? Good luck. Maybe there's a Northern Illinois alum somewhere on the board who can claim they knew Jimmy and Tony Romo were the next big thing.

Forgot to mention: I'd be surprised if we saw #55 on the field again.

I never said you did, not everything I say to you has poor intent just so you know.

Well Brady only threw it 22 times and Amendola would have had a big gainer but Denver is only allowed to run pick plays.

Can't wait until next week when Peyton is running for his life in Seattle. I'm hoping for a shutout this time.

Today confirmed one thing for me, and that is Tom Brady is not going anywhere. If Belichick really intended for Garopollo to take over for Brady he would have put him in the game today to get him reps, we had a commanding lead, and it would have been the perfect time. Garopollo is here to be Mallett, and nothing more than that is in the pipeline right now.

Someone really thought that?

That was only a big gainer because Dobson cleared out his cornerback.

Seattle is not doing so well against SD right now.

Brady only throws to Edelman and Gronk.
If Develin has 2 catches, Hoomanawanui has 1 catch, and Dobson who has basically only been practicing for 2 weeks has 1 catch, I really do not see any excuse for Amendola or LaFell to go without a catch. Wright is still learning the offense.

thought dobson would have a bigger game. only two (?) targets? at least he caught the first one...
just wish we attacked down the field more.

I wanted to go for the field goal in the last two minutes. Never mind the "running up the score" whiners.
Question for all you guys smarter than me--did we go with the 3/4 today or the 4/3?

The Pats started in a 3-4 but after the Vikings first drive abusing Skinner, they went to a 3-3-5 for most of the rest of the game.
