I'm gonna take the same approach after the Miami game and chill on calling anyone a beast or bust. But what jones did today was phenomenal and a great restart to the season. Him and Hightower looked amazing.

Jones today and Hightower (both games) have been outstanding. Eases some of the Bequette/Wilson pain of the 2012 draft.

Jones is such a freak of nature. I've loved him from the moment we drafted him. Just from those short clips NFL Network showed when he was drafted I knew we had got what I wanted, a real 43 DE. He has impressed from the first game he played. Such a dominant force on our defense.

Love what we are doing with Hightower this year too. Let him play close to the line and he is really, really good.

How anyone could call Jones anything but really, really good is beyond me.

If there was a redo on that draft, Jones would probably be the 2nd or 3rd pick overall.

Chandler Jones has clearly filled out as he matured. Hopefully he has taken the next step to consistency as last year he struggled with some Tackles but he looks little stronger to go with his length and athleticism. High tower I'm still skeptical of him being somebody who can consistently get pressure on qb because he doesn't have burst and athleticism of Jones. This was a bad performance by vikings online and a terrible QB. I like Collins explosiveness better as rush olb. Besides Collins isn't an inside player, ilb does not play to his length explosion and athleticism. He isn't an inside banger at all. Collins can play rush OLB while Hightower moves inside and does a lot of blitzing from inside.

Collins plays the Will ILB position so he doesn't need to be as much of a banger as Mayo. He was a DE his last year of college so he still has some learning about stacking and shedding to do. He will get there though.
