I would like to see What Stork can do at Center but I don't want to see Connolly at guard any more than Devey really.

I'd be fine with Connelly moving back to RG if/when Stork is ready to take over at center. I think he's a major upgrade over Devey (and that's putting it mildly).

I just question whether or not Stork could possibly be ready just yet, that's all. I think we may have to wait a little longer. We'll know soon one way or the other ;)

With Wendell out it seems like a fair bet that Stork dresses to day. If so, I would not be surprised if he gets a few snaps.

Collins was somewhat up and down last week, but not having his athleticism and talent in there is def a disappointment. I love the dynamic he brings to the field - we don't have a ton of speed out there.

Wendell not making the 46-man roster this week will cost him $12,500.

I expect that we could see some of Josh Kline tomorrow, not that it's going to make you feel much better.
Sadly the thought of Kline does in fact make me feel better.

Can Stork play at guard for a bit, with Connolly at center? After last week, I suspect he'd be an upgrade just for his physical abilities.

The center is responsible for reading the defense and making the line calls in the Pats offense. Belichick discussed this in his Wed press conference. According to Belichick, the leap from college to the pros is huge for a center and Stork is way behind after missing most of training camp.

Well, yeah, and I'm sure Belichick would be awesome at making line calls as well but that doesn't mean he's physically capable of playing the position. I'm sure Charlie Weiss would be awesome at reading coverage too but it doesn't mean I'd want him as my starting flanker.

There's a ton of ways of making things easier for a new center, especially when you have Brady at QB. Know when he calls out the Mike? He's setting protection. Audibles at the LOS? Protection calls. Put the best guys you have on the field out there and let your 37 year old quarterback make one more pre-snap read.

No worries. We gonna win this one easily.

we're so weak in the trenches, on both sides of the ball.
also paper thin at LB.

Jamie Collins not playing would be a problem he was the one bright spot on the defense last week 8 tackles a FF and a pass Def and his coverage was great
There's a silver lining though.
This could force the coach to play Chandler Jones at OLB rather than 3-4 DE.
The downgrade from Jones to say Chris Jones/Easley at 3-4 DE is minor, given how poorly positioned Chandler Jones is to play the role.
Playing Collins inside at 3-4 ILB doesn't play to his skillset either. He got run over and was forced to cover Wallace way downfield more than he was covering TEs.

using a 3-4 is stupid. we don't have the personnel.
think the viking's rb has a big game today. as bart scott once said " we can't stop a nose bleed ".
sad but true. out third down D is also horrendous.

Thompkins and Dennard are out too.
