Cam Newton "Donkey Kong Suh" comments

Some of you are what's wrong the world.

Donkey king suh is a racist comment? I've been saying donkey long suh forever because his name sounds kinda like donkey kong

Personally I prefer Gronkey Kong....download.jpg

I don't know, guys. I think a little Photoshop, and this would be a better Gronk:

I can definitely see how Cam calling Suh "Donkey Kong" has so naturally and so seamlessly turned into a `white people are bad and their grandparents were REALLY bad` thread.

My only comment was a positive one in that I feel that we've come a long way since the days of our grandparents, yet still have work to do. That was in response to a poster who spoke of racial tensions in our country.

So sorry that it got your panties in a bunch.

They're not in a bunch.

I just seriously doubt that Tom Brady calling Clay Mathews some nick name in a press conference would lead to a thread about how racist black people are without anyone batting an eye.

From my perspective, we've made a lot of progress, but still have work to do. It was a pretty innocuous comment from my end.

I wasn't calling anyone out. I was simply commenting on the ease with which everyone is so willing to go here.

I guess my using the word "grandparents" made it sound like I was after your post. Sorry, wasn't my intention.

I thought it was funny, effective, and kinda highlighted how stupid the whole dog and pony show is. They're trying to bait him by asking him the same stupid question over and over again, so he gives them the same stupid answer over and over again.

As for the rest of this thread... wtf people. Anyone turning this into a racist thing is just trying to invent reasons to be offended. Just stop.

I'm shocked, it's like people didn't even read the article linked to in the OP. That, at least, was what I was responding to.

I think that happens a lot in thread, in the sense that people start to shift their focus and it meshes off into something else altogether.

I just looked at the last page, saw some racial tension comments, and tried to turn things around with an upbeat thought that our society was moving ahead in a better direction since the older days.
