Per Twitter, the Patriots have downgraded Collins, Wendell and Buchanan to out. Easley expected to play an expanded role and Chris Jones has traveled with the team.

Collins is a big loss. Kyle Rudolph could be in for a big game.

hopefully stork can step in and not give the job back .

If it's a thigh strain he won't be right for weeks...lets hope it's a bruise...

If he was going to miss a game....this game i could live with. Get healthy for home opener.

Even next week isn't pressing. But we do need him.

Wendell being out is a good thing it hopefully will give Stork an opportunity.

Collins will be sorely missed and we could use a 3rd pass rusher so hopefully Buchanan will be back next week.

Maybe. Stork didn't participate much this off season I think. Id expect Connolly to start at C but hopefully Stork does eventually.

Jamie Collins not playing would be a problem he was the one bright spot on the defense last week 8 tackles a FF and a pass Def and his coverage was great

SMY called it a bruise. Sounds like it's not major, thank goodness.

God i hope. Strains are weeks and weeks. But a bruise? Back next week

Well guess this excites two groups of people, the ones that wanted (or now say they wanted) Patterson and the against Collins being drafted people. Now all they need is for Dobson to be inactive or do nothing, Logan Ryan to be the 4th or 5th CB, and Patterson to have a few catches and a big run.

Then we'll have to hear for days how it was one of Belichick's worst decisions. Seriously if that happens SportsHub 9.85 2-6 will be dedicate the whole 4 hours to ripping Belichick for passing on Patterson and taking who he did.

Re-watch the game. Focus on Collins. A bright spot? Not Collins.

Collins being out could be good because it'll force the coaching staff to stop being stupid and put Jones at OLB since Hightower will have to move back to ILB.

The best thing the team can do now is play Connolly at RG and Stork at C. Playing Connolly at C and Devey at RG would be a disaster.

Seriously. Just don't get what the staff sees in Devey after playing every snap in preseason and last week and not showing anything.

Unless it's because Devey has a year in the system and Stork missed some time in the preseason. But even then id take my chances with the guy who was an unanimous All American, won the best Center award, snapped for the National Champion and Heisman winner over a guy who was undrafted out of Memphis and natural position is tackle.

The center is responsible for reading the defense and making the line calls in the Pats offense. Belichick discussed this in his Wed press conference. According to Belichick, the leap from college to the pros is huge for a center and Stork is way behind after missing most of training camp.

From what I saw in Miami (when I wasn't hiding my eyes), the thing that would improve the o-line more than anything would be Volmer and Soldier actually blocking somebody. They were getting beat like rented mules...

I expect that we could see some of Josh Kline tomorrow, not that it's going to make you feel much better.

That's a real shame about Wendy...

I think that most of us wanted him to be improved upon, which would have justified his release in the offseason. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, which may be partially due to the injury of Stork.

Even though the OL sucked last week, some of the assessments that I saw actually had Brady doing pretty well while Wendell was in the lineup. Maybe it's just coincidental due to the differences in halves from last week, but maybe Wendell was the lesser of two evils just the same?

Like I said--I wanted Wendell gone too, but I'm not as sure that I want him gone right now at the moment, which should tell you where our OL is at. If Stork plays soon and does well, that would go a long way towards keeping Wendell out of the starting lineup. I'm just not quite sure that he's ready just yet, that's all...we'll find out soon enough.

I was hoping for Zach Moore or Buchanan to break through at DE or rush OLB. Buchanan is in year 2 and had couple sacks and several pressures in preseason. Bummer he hasn't played yet. I would like to see What Stork can do at Center but I don't want to see Connolly at guard any more than Devey really.

THANKS GOD WENDELL IS NOT PLAYING.
