Linebacker Jamie Collins (thigh) was added to the Patriots injury report on Thursday.

There were no other changes for the Patriots, as New England had perfect attendance at Thursday’s practice when it came to its 53-man roster.

In addition to Collins, center Ryan Wendell, tight end Rob Gronkowski and defensive linemen Michael Buchanan, Sealver Siliga and Chris Jones were listed as limited for the second consecutive day as the Patriots continue their prep work for Sunday’s game in Minnesota against the Vikings.

Here’s the complete injury report:

Limited Participation
LB Jamie Collins (thigh)
DE Michael Buchanan (ankle)
TE Rob Gronkowski (knee)
DL Chris Jones (ankle)
DL Sealver Siliga (hand)
C Ryan Wendell (knee)

Great. Collins is probably gonna miss the game

Brady's calf must be better, or somebody had Veal Parmigiana with a nice Chianti Classico and topped it off with a cannoli made with a sweet mascarpone. Mangia!

Not good. Reports are Collins isn't at practice. Not practicing Friday usually indicates not active on Sunday.

I take it Aaron Dobson is playing this week??

C'mon Collins :(

Who knows. He's practiced basically for the last 3 weeks. Judging by some of the decisions in the last week would not surprise me if he was inactive again.

I would sure hope he is active. we could use him out there this week. a big bodied wide receiver.

not good on collins since we are relatively thin at linebacker. hopefully he is a go for sunday

It doesn't look good. On the silver lining side, it might actually help against the run. Collins is the anti-Spikes.

No problem. Belichick will stick with the 3-4 with Chris White as one of his outside linebackers.

good thing we have a Dolphins x Bills this week and the Jets go to green bay, so we eliminate the possibility of starting 0-2 and all the other conference rivals 2-0

Being that its a thigh bruise keeping him out of practice might be precautionary. I think Jamie Collins is a go on Sunday.

This is my hope

Officially ruled as Questionable

My guess is no Collins on Sunday since he DNP

If AP doesn't play....i wonder if it offsets the Collins injury if at all...

Thigh strain or bruise..if strain..no good... Wonder if it happened in the game

Treatment for Thigh Strains
Treatment depends on the severity of the strain. Regardless of how serious it is though, players should use the rest, ice, compression, elevation (RICE) treatment immediately after sustaining the injury to reduce pain and swelling, lessening the chances of it getting worse. Players may recover from a 1st degree strain by avoiding exercise for 3 weeks, whereas for a 2nd degree strain 4-6 weeks of rest is required. For more serious 3rd degree strains, surgery may be necessary to repair the rupture. 3 months of rehabilitation usually follows the surgery, during which players will do gentle resistance exercises, which gradually restore the thigh muscle to its full strength.

I HOPE Dobson plays..we need a guy to go deep

THIS is EXACTLY why I was against BB cutting so many LBs from the 53 man roster. Only had FOUR active LBs, and now most likely only 3 for the next game. God forbid 1 gets hurt and we are ****ed. Too many DTs kept.

Go deep? Don't talk to me about going deep! :) I just hope we can complete a few dump passes and pick up a first down or two... :) That would be a step in the right direction...

??? We kept 5 DT's, including 3 that been injured.

If there is an excess at a position, the position is safety. We have SIX.
