Kelcy Quarles was the lone player missing from the practice today.
Lets hope he hasn't been released or signed to another teams 53.
Please post with immediate news since I think he can be a player.

You're probably correct. No doubt that they have signed a recently cut player from Oakland to quiz him.
No room on their vastly talented defensive line for Quarles.

Was he released is this confirmed?
I pray not this is ridiculous he's a talented young player.

No. But he was absent so unless it was excused or he picked up an injury in practice yesterday which he would more than likely would have been in attendance unless it was severe then it probably means he got released and the Pats just haven't announced it yet.

Unfortunately those were my thoughts as well.

I'm guessing someone signed him to a 53 I'd be shocked if he was outright released unless he is being replaced by a big fatty because what Miami did to our d line but this makes me a sad panda .sad_panda_by_ramy-d4gn0jt.jpg

Yet Vellano stays.

What the hell do they see in this guy?
I wish I knew it makes no sense to me sometimes I find myself questioning either Patricia or BB the GM I don't know who is in charge of these decisions but I don't like them.

Here's hoping they signed someone who can rush the passer or catch a deep ball.

Quarles is who he is, an inexperienced UDFA who could not make any team. Maybe he'll be signed to someone's PS, perhaps not. If he were the prospect you all think, he would have been signed to a team or at least to some else's PS.

I disagree with the idea that there are many UDFA's who are better players than who we have on the 53. And yes, I would rather see Swanson or Davis on the PS, or even Bethel-Thompson.

Or how about, I dont know......pass block?

Deep ball takes time to develop. What good would a deep receiver do if TB is on his ass?

I hope they didn't release him outright - that would be a waste. If someone else signed him it's also a waste, as I thought they should have promoted him to the 53 this week. It's not the end of the world, but I think he is more talented and has a better skill set by far than Vellano, and has some real upside.

I read on Quarles Twitter earlier he had a great time at the mayo bowl and loved being a Patriot.
Hoping he gets to continue his career with this team.

Maybe he just changed lockers? LOL
Elevated to the 53?
Lets hope he's still part of the plans.
Maybe he had his annual dentist appointment in South Carolina.

Indeed. a Quarles for Vellano swap is something I'd really like to see.
