Media Report (unverified): The NFL had the Rice Elevator Tape in April

this cracks me up

"We have no knowledge of this," the league said in a statement. "We are not aware of anyone in our office who possessed or saw the video before it was made public on Monday. We will look into it."

So the NFL is going to look into it. Great, the guys who investigated the Rice tape are going to investigate whether they got the tape back in April. Pretty funny. They're probably going to ask the cleaning lady if they know if the NFL received it and then report back to us that they tried to get to the bottom of it but there was no conclusive evidence lol

He's rounding up the pitch fork and torch crowd.

yeah...hell hath no fury, Mr. Party

All we need now is one whistle blower to come out and Roger Jetdell's empire of incompetence and obfuscation comes crashing down.

For all those saying all this crap will vindicate us and show that Goodell went overboard on our punishment... here you go:

I spend over 90% of my time with users outside of the NE area, and from what everything I hear from them during downtime - in their opinion spygate was pushed under the carpet because Goodell and Kraft are buddies. That is the reason why Goodell destroyed the tapes that supposedly proved the crime. This Rice issue only brings it to light again... unfortunately.

So, yes. This Ray Rice scandal will put spygate back on the map... again... and already has as proven by the above comment.

Who gives a **** what people think about Spygate. Some of you guys need to get a thicker skin. Those idiots will NEVER let Spygate go so why care what they think.

I'm all for this **** storm. If fans or commentators want to bring up Spygate, change the channel, don't read their comments.

And finally ......

NFL: Former FBI Director Will Probe Rice Case

nvestigation will be overseen by NFL owners John Mara and Art Rooney
(NEW YORK) — The NFL says former FBI director Robert S. Mueller III will conduct a probe into how the NFL handled evidence as it investigated domestic violence claims against former Ravens running back Ray Rice.

And from his Bunker deep below the streets of Gotham Goody says he will offer any help he can, and be completely forthcoming

This just in: the NFL has investigated itself and found no wrongdoing.

Wait, breaking news! It turns out it was all some intern's fault. He has been fired, and now all is good again. Nothing more to see here.

Aha...The Sal Alosi Protocol...we should have known...

anyway, the whole story is "blowing over"...nobody cares...like the 11 million readers in NY

Thanks for the info

74 got no punishment? Wow. But was there physical assault like in the Rice case? Knocking out your wife/ GF is pretty severe.
The stat I heard was the 85 most recent cases where a player was arrested. Certainly I agree that not all those arrests would include something as horrible as what Rice did. But there are also a lot of really heinous crimes in there. Couple strangulations, death threats, fights, things thrown, etc.

cases, dispositions...REAL NUMBERS...not this garbage "I heard" crap.
If you have a problem with the fact that I am repeating something that was said on TV, tough ****. I may be misremembering the numbers by very small amounts, like it may be 73/85 or something like that, but the stat I presented is in line with what was said on ESPN and completely supports the point I have been making all along: Ray Rice's initial suspension was very much in line with the past decade+ of similar incidents across the league. If anything, Rice's punishment was on the harsher end of the punishment spectrum compared to recent history.

You tempt me to lurk on the Saints forum on Goodell - do you think they have gotten over Bountygate?

The plot thickens.

John Mara family has now sided with Kraft family and come to the "Goodfathers" aide pledging full support.

The Goodfather resides in NYC and the Rice incident happened in NJ. At a casino no less. All too much of a concidence if you ask me.
