It's time to make the call for Larry Fitz and sign LaMichael James (cut Bolden).

I am NOT one of the insane people jumping ship after week one (thankfully, I was attending another nfl game, so I haven't even seen it). I just think it's time for Fitz to restructure and spend his later years with us.

Make the call Bill. Now.

I love our team and think we are fine either way but we need receiver help (and have, for a few years).

We could of had Larry Fitz, Calvin Johnson and a Jerry Rice in his prime, but that still would have done us no good Sunday when Brady had no time to throw ...

Receivers aren't our problem. Pass blockers are!

Why would AZ trade Fitzgerald now? They sit atop their division at the moment.

Well in all fairness he did say that he had not watched the game yet LOL Which you think one would do if they were at least curious or were fans or were willing to play couch GM with such brilliant ideas of plucking LF from the cards.

How anyone could be clamoring for Larry Fitzgerald or JAG LaMichael James right now is baffling

If anything you should be wanting them to go back to the 4-3, hope Joe Vellano doesn't see the field, and that the OL just had a bad day

You might be taken more seriously around here if you get rid of that goofy avatar photo.
And maybe learned a little about the game

Oh, and watched the game you are commenting on.

Larry Fitz will be a Patriot.

It'll be a three way trade involving Houston's 1st.

No

Dobson will be just fine for us. I personally think he'll be great. I'm excited to see him play now that he's had a full year in our offense and put on some well needed size.

Dobson had more yards than Patterson last year, despite 8 fewer receptions (35 vs 48)

Both had 4 TDs. Both run the same 4.42 40 yard dash. + Dobson is an inch taller.

This rumor may gain some more legs in the next month or so due to the fact that:

1. ARZ didn't even target him until 4:00 left in the game and seem content on using him as a decoy

2. They know that this is basically his last year there due to his contract situation

Not sure if you saw Fitzgerald's dad's comments, but he was not happy. While I have always downplayed any thoughts of making such a move, I do believe that Belichick has a handful of guys (veteran leaders who he knows will immediately come in and contribute, have no problem picking up the playbook, etc) who he would consider if the price was right.

While nothing will likely end up happening, an argument can be made that ARZ's 1-0 record could look even better with the clearing of salary cap space and some high draft picks/players.

And your avatar and signature photos are better? No offense man, i don't feel like looking at a picture of a dumb parrot. Yeah!...the patriot attack parrot lol.

What does his avatar have to do with anything. I think Fitz is in decline anyways. Its time for patriots to raise its own talent. Instead of looking for hasbeens. Patriots don't want the last WR with 100 TDs or sacks, want the next WR with 6 1000 yard 10 TD seasons. With that said we have 2 very gifted WRs that run sub 4.45 and have functional WR athleticism to get open and highpoint the football. Dobson has just about everything you want in a #1 WR. Speed burst. Quick flexible cuts and breaks and acrobatic athleticism. Kenbrell Thompkins has similar ability and rare quickness off the line and in his breaks. Just ask Darius Slay of Detroit and our own Brandon Browner how quick he is in his breaks and moves off the line. Slay said its the most sudden cuts and breaks he seen yet from WR over 6'0. He can also separate deep and makes great fluid adjustments to the football as well as highpoint it. I think they both have top flight upside.

Patterson is very elusive and explosive with the ball in his hands but is not as natural getting separation as Dobson nor is he as natural adjusting to the ball as Dobson or Kenbrell. All Patterson's damage comes in space where they scheme to get the ball in his hands in the open. Dobson is the better WR so far. And our WRs are just as explosive as Patterson. Only thing going to hold our WRs back is the embarrassing OLine. If they can protect Brady long enough for them to get deep and intermediate separation. If we pull off a blockbuster trade it should be for an Lineman that can play tackle and guard at a high level. My opinion it must be done because this OLine can't win a Superbowl. Even if they go to the playoffs a good defense will toss them like rag dolls. If they truly are after a Superbowl they need to trade away significant draft picks for a significant OLineman. My guess is it will take a Round 2 and 3 or Round 2 and both our Round 4 picks before a team will part with a very good OLineman still in his prime. They may do it just for the Round if circumstances are right otherwise its going to take more than a Round pick for a top Olineman. And yes we do need a dominant olineman not just solid to set the tone for the rest of the OLine and anchor the OLine. If bill doesn't want to part with the picks then he doesn't want to win the Superbowl this year. ANY SUGGESTIONS ANYBODY ON AN OLINEMAN THAT COULD BECOME AVAILABLE ON A REBUILDING TEAM OR A TEAM NEEDING CAPSPACE

Apologies for the thread guys..

I wasn't totally "there" yesterday haha.

Idk what the hell I was thinking with LaMichael James, but I feel like Fitz is leaving AZ next year regardless. I don't think it would hurt to make a call regarding him.

Yes, they are tied for the division lead after 1 week.
and they look like a good team. Just like last year. So why would they trade him now?

Hi Gene,

After the first game, I think we need to focus on both sides of the line and I love Fitzgerald but I think our receivers will be fine, Tom just needs some time to throw. Just a Boston girl's opinion though:)

Obviously the lines need top priority and if we keep playing poorly like last game I don't doubt BB will pull a trade, but apart from the lines that I believe will get together, I see a huge need for a running back, a guy that teams will need to account for, a guy who can create his own shot like we say in basketball.

Ridley is not that guy, he used to be but his fumble issues got into his head, he is running way too careful and that is costing him yards, he knows he simply CAN'T fumble. Belichick created an atmosphere that is not helping the player and is not helping the team either. Defenses will account for him just to try to force a fumble, no DC is worried that Ridley will get more than 20 yards in a run and Vereen is a 3rd down back.

Miami didn't give a crap about our running game, and going uni-dimensional only makes things easy for any defense.

I think we will miss Blount the same way we missed Woodhead last season.
