Media Report (unverified): The NFL had the Rice Elevator Tape in April

And, whether we agree or disagree with her politics (and I mostly disagree), she actually accomplished something outside of the offices of the NFL in some pretty fancy places, like Stanford, the White House and Foggy Bottom. I'm as blue a democrat as you will find, but I think she would be a perfect commissioner at this time, if Goodell is forced to resign.

Plus if you have an image problem because you seem to be ambivalent towards violence against women, hiring a black female as your commissioner would really help that image.

It just makes smart financial sense. She has much better credentials than just being a former Jets employee.

Why would Godell only give Rice 2 games when he saw what occurred in t

Most times he has given a stronger sentence and then reduced it later.

While not subject to the Constitution, the NFL has its own internal due process requirement. Part of that is punishing like offenses in a similar manner. I believe that the 2games was in line with other domestic violence suspensions. Once the video leaked, the public relations took precedence over the due process concerns.

Anything that gets Goodell fired is a good start, in my book. The fact that it's because he was such an dumbass on a subject he could have avoided almost completely just makes imagining the possibility that much more sweet.

If Goodell is forced to resign for losing his credibility, how does it make sense to appoint a replacement whose credibility was lost a long time ago, with considerably more dire consequences than those caused by Goodell?

Much as I hate to write this, but this may affect the Patriots vis a vis Cameragate regarding the perception of how the NFL reports or disposes of what they have in an investigation. This kind of thing can reopen the can of worms (and I DO mean worms) with the tinfoil posses who want to believe that the NFL covered up for the Pats in 2007.

It already has if you read comments from fans of other teams. Kraft screwed the pooch big time by his premature ejaculation of support for his tool Goodell. Fans say that Bob owes him for "destroying all those incriminating Spygate tapes".

As someone who has called for this inept CEO's firing because he's hurting the brand and damaging the very markets (casual fans, the female demographic) that the increased revenue is supposed to come from it's time for the BOD (owners) to stop the skank chasing and get down to business and hire a competent CEO for the NFL.

The NFL Players should start their own jihad against Roger Goodell just like Roger Goodell with the assistance of the NFL Public Relations Department waged their jihad against Janay Palmer.

Yup, Ray Rice is the victim here!

LOL, Teddy just hinted that "if true" Goodell is in trouble!

I think we can all see that Goodell is toast! Now Ray Rice has a serious shot at winning on appeal. note: I'm only saying that by Goodell lying, it gives Rice an opening, by no means am I advocating that he is not a POS coward. I hope he never plays again.

But legally, if Goodell on record as saying that he extended Rice's suspension because he just say that video, and if Rice's lawyer can prove that is a lie, I can't see how the arbitrator wouldn't rule in Rice's favor.

Sadly, I agree.

The minute Kraft gave him that unqualified support on national TV the other day, I felt the same way I felt watching him and his gal pal in her audition tape.

It's the downfall of Goodell finally!

The Sportsnation poll on ESPN.com is showing that 66% of the country feels that Goodell should be fired or resign. Kinda expected it to be like 80%.

Given that it's being reported by AP, this is way more credible than the standard stuff that we've come to expect from internet journalism. AP is as legit as sources get; it's essentially confirmed already in my book.
I don't ever believe he says, she says cases. Better to let it play out. Sources always have a vested interested much like parties attempting a cover up.

Agreed. Honestly, at this point, whatever's uncovered about SG or Bountygate or any other goddam issue is uncovered. As suggested earlier, outside of NE many, many other fans think the absolute worst about SG and the Pats and believe all types of lies and BS anyway. I'm beyond giving a sh##.

Give it time. The info still coming out. Let the SJWs continue to eat their own. Just get the popcorn and enjoy.
