Robert Kraft defends Roger Goodell: "The way he has handled this situation is excellent"

Let me address this to the Goodell apologist and general troll. I remember the weekend in November 1963 when this took place. There were two leagues at that time and the AFL cancelled the games and the NFL didn't. Was it a PR mistake, yes was it on the level of this latest fiasco no. Goodell since he was gifted his position has screwed up every time he has tried to exert his authority. Regarding the camera incident, he created a mountain out of a molehill to exert his authority, leaked the tapes to hurt the Pats and then destroyed them so the truth could not be shown leaving the lasting impression of guilt. Does anybody on this board aside from you think that there was anything worse on the destroyed tapes than was leaked. By the way, the POS said he was going to conduct an investigation as who leaked the tapes to the media. I wonder what happened to that investigation. I also recall that Jets players tripped a player running back a kick, an incident that actually influenced a game unlike a picture taken from an improper location. Did Goodell take any action against the management of that team like losing a draft pick. Guess not. Next came the Saints debacle where his incompetent ruling was reversed by Tagliabue who was are real commissioner. Finally we come to this disaster, the bottom line of which is that based on the police reports, and the first tape, the POS knew that Rice slugged his girlfriend and dragged her out unconscious, and his response was a two week suspension. That is all you need to know about the lack of decency in that man. Everything subsequent is just a response to the public. He likes to hold people to the standard that ignorance is no excuse and he should be held to the same standard and the NFL will be better for it.

And there goes Roger Goodell. Adios, *******.

I wonder if Bob Kraft still thinks he's doing such an excellent job.

we must be twins...

Roger doesn't like looking at tapes. He destroyed the SpyGate tapes and ignored the Rice tape. Kraft, likely appreciative of the Goodell's videophobia past and present, has provided a little "return the favor" cover from the "outrage of the day" critics.
(Written partially in jest.....but ........haven't read about any other owner daring to speak up for Rog............................. ..........I see black helicopters overhead....near the grassy knoll)
I wrote this yesterday because of the similarities of two video cover ups. And with Kraft jumping in...of course I went full frontal conspiracy (fish in a barrel)
Apparently Boston.com also has connected some dots with a hefty dose of insinuation. Where do I collect my royalties? Haters can apologize to me with red seat tickets. True insight is very rare :)

Kraft right now is thinking "Damn, I should of just kept my mouth shut for one more day."
No good deed goes unpunished.
How about this line from the Wilbur article....."Kraft already made him part of this story by fawningly tossing his unending support behind his commissioner, but he and Belichick better hope that’s the extent of it. Somebody in those offices probably knows what would have compelled Goodell to get rid of the Spygate tapes, and if the czar is out of a job in the near future, the gag order will expire."

Kerosine meet fire. Wilbur reaching deep for his inner-Tomase

Bahaha, what exactly are they expecting to find on these missing tapes? The Pats were filming the same thing a zillion people saw on TV :) Prepare for video of Herm Edwards and Miami cheerleaders...

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban must be laughing right now.

Those cheerleader tapes were stolen from Robert Kraft's safe by Jake Bequette. Why do you think Jake is still under contract by the New England Patriots?

Mankins was ready to talk, so they shipped him to a media free zone....BB and Krafty....devious

so...NFLN comes on with their league show 15 minutes ago and there's a live blurb that the show was taped YESTERDAY...then the "panel" on the show including Ed Reed go off on a 12 minute breast beating testimonial for Ray Rice...how they knowingly decide to air this segment and stick in the blurb that it's taped is beyond PREPOSTEROUS.

Here's a tip...DO NOT AIR THAT SEGMENT...EVER AGAIN. IT'S RIDICULOUS NOW.

and you KNOW this is planned damage control. It is clearly obvious that Roger Goodell and the NFL consider the fanbase to be nothing more than low intelligence, easily led sheep. When the N.O.W. attack dogs see this and the context, they will rip Goodell's life to shreds. Do you really want to be Mrs. Goodell, stepping out into public and facing the rage of her own gender, armed to the teeth with cameras and mics?

Meanwhile, the oblivious business school chump turned megalomaniac sits on his "shield" laughing...

It is by no means a good thing for the Patriots that Goodell destroyed the SpyGate tapes.

Now people think a bunch of tapes that were 80% focused on cheerleader's wiggling were the most scandalous smoking gun in Earth's history, simply because they WERE destroyed

I clicked the link, then saw the byline of Eric Wilbur, then deleted it.

Yup, one can always count on the Globe (Boston.com is the same company) for calling the penalties levied on the Patriots back then a "slap on the wrist"

"...The Patriots and Goodell buddy Bob Kraft were slapped on the wrist to the tune of a first-round draft pick, which, really, Belichick tends to waste in most cases anyway. Belichick was also fined $500,000, the highest fine for a coach in NFL history, and the team was fined $250,000.
And Spygate just sort of went away. Because the NFL wanted it to, despite the continued inquisitions of the late senator Specter. "

Seriously, eff you Globe.
