...so, rape victims should not dress provocatively?
No I haven't changed my argument one bit. By saying "what did he expect was going to happen?" I am reaffirming that it is my opinion that he deserved it, as he, a married man, put himself in that position. Nobody else did.
And no, nobody deserves to be accused of sex assault without merit, but let's look at it this way- no billionaire goes for a walk alone in Compton at 3 a.m. in the morning even though he has every right to, and neither should he (in that he is married and has social status) put himself in a situation where 1) liquor is involved 2) cameras are involved 3) unsavory characters he doesn't know, are involved.
Sorry that you are getting your panties in a bunch over this;
I do agree that it's probably unfair to him, but that's how it is, and always has been. People with a lot of money have always been targeted by those seeking financial shortcuts, that's just a fact.
So, if a married man has an extramarital affair, he then deserves to be accused of sexual assault? Is that it? Because that stance makes very little sense as well. And yes, you have gone back and forth on this. As far as we know here, the only thing Jones did wrong was hanging out with a bunch of sluts (judging by the pics). I'm not sure I agree with your stance that he deserves the accusation, given what we know now.
No panties are in a bunch. I'm just astounded by the lack of logic being applied here by a guy that seems to be intelligent.
Given this quote, your stance that he deserves to be accused to sexual assault is even more curious and goes back to my earlier thought about whether this is simply about the fact that Jones has amassed a fortune over his lifetime.
He deserves whatever outcome comes from a married man with lots of money putting himself in a situation where there is 1) liquor 2) cameras 3)unsavory characters. What possible good can come out of being in such a situation? I can think of none. And I'm sure his wife and children can't, either.
And if I understand you correctly, you're saying that Jones basically did nothing wrong, and those "sluts" are to blame, since you use a derogatory term to describe them?
Sure your panties aren't in a bunch?
You seem agitated enough to flub basic grammar.
As I have mentioned, I have no need of such surfeit and especially not on the level that Jones has. Everyone dreams of becoming rich, but nobody considers the dark side of having so much wealth, which includes spending a huge amount of your time managing and protecting your wealth, fighting off suits, and being a target for extortion every time you step outside.
As Bud Fox says to Gordon Gekko in Wall Street: "How much is enough?"
So, again, you feel that Jones deserves to be accused of sexual assault because he was a married millionaire hanging out with younger women? What does Ray Rice deserve? Execution via the guillotine? You realize allegations like that, even if they were false, could ruin a person's life even if they are vindicated in a court of law, correct? Not sure a guy making a terrible decision deserves that and I'm not really sure you thought that statement through. Why you're digging your heels in now is beyond me.
And I called them sluts because of their behavior (which didn't seem forced in any way) in the pictures. You may want to refresh yourself on the definition or hang out with some of them in real life.
But this statement leads me to believe that you are. Usually the guy that goes after the grammar first is the guy that doesn't have much to back up his stance.
You're acknowledging the extreme possibility that this could be an extortion attempt by the accuser and yet you're still saying that Jones deserved this because of an extramarital affair. Take time to read that sentence again and try to understand why your logic is flawed here.
Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I was getting worried that I was building a strawman in my second post toward you on this subject.
You are right, allegations like what just happened to Jones have the potential to ruin life and at the very least, reputation, hence all the more reason to stay away from situations like that, especially if you're married, and wealthy.
If you, as a billionaire NFL owner who must answer to the NFL conduct policy, want to commit indiscretion, or just get drunk, at least be smart enough to do it in the privacy of your home or hotel suite.
And basically it seems as if you're saying you have the right to call those girls "sluts" and I don't have the right to call Jones "dumb"? Looks like a double-standard going on here.
Just making an observation. You flubbed your grammar. Simple as that. Spin it any way you want.
Once again: he deserves the outcome of whatever comes from a bad situation that he, and nobody else, put himself in.
He could have controlled his liquor and he didn't. He could have stopped those pictures from being taken; he didn't. And he sure could have stopped himself from being caught in a compromising position, but he didn't.
Looks like the meaning of that line flew over your head. Someday I hope it makes sense to you.
And once more, I have zero desire for accumulating a huge amount of wealth, as I see doing such a thing as a huge waste of time, not to mention life. I imagine doing such a thing takes so much energy, mentally and physically.
What happened to him could have also happened in his suite or home if he had called escorts as well. You're absically stating that Jones shouldn't live his life on his terms anymore because he's a high profile billionaire, which is ridiculous.
Reading comprehension helps in these cases. I never had a problem with you calling Jones dumb. I had a problem with you saying that he deserves to be accused of sexual assault, all the while acknowledging the extreme possibility that it's an extortion attempt.
Actually, if this is an extortion attempt, you can make an argument that the accuser put him in a bad situation as well. But you can keep saying once again all you want. You seem to be aware that there is a very real possibility that he's being extorted and, yet, you still think he deserves it. Further, you've gone a long way to proving that the only reason you think he deserves it is because he has a fortune to his name.
This is called an honest, dumb mistake and does not deserve a sexual assault accusation.
This is another sign of someone who knows their argument is failing: the personal attack. The line made perfect sense to me. Your logic (or lack thereof) does not. Let's stay on topic, shall we?
This is pretty much at the root of why you think Jones deserves to be accused of sexual assault.
Slow down, take a breath- that way you catch your grammar flubs and spelling errors.
If he had called high-class escorts, the answer is no. Once they're out, their careers are over and I imagine that they would have to find alternate employment.
Also having this indiscretion take place at home or in a suite greatly reduces the risk of being photographed which goes a long way in incriminating someone, rather than it merely being a "he said, she said" thing which is far less likely to attract media attention.
And in that he is a NFL owner, no, he can't live life on his terms anymore. He has to answer to the personal conduct policy.
Once again, he deserves whatever the outcome was of putting himself in a bad situation, especially one that involved elements that make for especially bad PR.
He may or may not have been extorted, but he still put himself in a position to be taken advantage of.
For example, he could have sent his bodyguards to retrieve those pictures, or they could have acted on their initiative if he was too drunk, but they didn't.
A honest dumb mistake to me is maybe having your picture taken while you're with the wrong woman.
But having your picture being taken not with one, but two or more women, in sexually suggestive positions, is way beyond a "honest dumb mistake."
You keep thinking that I must be jealous of someone who has so much wealth, and I've tried to explain that I really am not. I have enough wealth to recognize that the more of it I get, the more responsibilities I will have, and that's not something I want or need.
Bull. Jerry Jones may be the world's biggest egotistic ******* (and let us all pause to thank the Good Lord that he does not own the Patriots), but unless he committed sexual assault, then he does not deserve to be accused of sexual assault and brought before a civil court of law to defend his reputation against a crime he did not commit.Once again: he deserves the outcome of whatever comes from a bad situation that he, and nobody else, put himself in.
So basically, it's not the affair that you're concerned with. He doesn't deserve to be accused of sexual assault for that. It's because he's wealthy and did it so that the public can see it? The logic is still flimsy and makes very little sense.
I don't think there's anything in the personal conduct policy that states an owner can't hang out with other women behind his wife's back and take embarrassing photographs. Perhaps you could point me toward that section?
All persons associated with the NFL are required to avoid “conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in the National Football League.”
Being deserving of bad PR is one thing. You stated that he deserved to be accused of sexual assault and even acknowledged the extreme possibility that it's extortion. So you say "once again" until the cows come home, you're not going to change the fact that you exercised some very poor logic in making that statement.
I'm not denying that. What I'm saying is that his actions that night aren't deserving of a sexual assault accusation. Especially if it turns out to be false.
Are you expecting a dunk person to exercise sound judgement?
This statement makes no sense, and still doesn't explain why you feel as though he deserves a sexual assault accusation.
Actually, I don't think you're jealous at all. I just think you have a particular disdain for people that are in Jones' income bracket. At least that's how it comes off.

I don't care how many drinks he had or how many women were participating in his drunken mini-orgy and whether or not his wife knew about it or not. Assuming all those women were participating consensually - and it sure as **** looks like they were - he does not deserve to be accused of a crime he did not commit.
Then who is to blame for causing this mess?
If he did it, he is. If he didn't do it, then his accuser is.
If he is innocent, then the woman levying false accusations against him is to blame. Then who is to blame for causing this mess?
What's the point of being King of Texas if Little Prince Jerry has to stay locked up in the castle?
If he is innocent, then the woman levying false accusations against him is to blame.
Don't get me wrong; if he's guilty then he should pay through the nose. However if he is innocent, he does not "deserve" to have his name dragged through the mud with an accusation that could ruin a guy's career and position.
So he deserves to be accused of sexual assault because he took some immature pictures? Does not compute...
