Amendola's snap count

Brady6 why do you have to show up And sling mud at Amendola every time he is mentioned. Your even all for taking his reception away. Leave amendola alone dude. Its bad enough you take shots at him and insult him on your own. But now others are beating him up you have to show up and kick him while he is down. He has a bad game so you have to take your opportunity to drag him around the mud and hit him while he is snagging an off target throw. The whole team played horrible and Brady had no time to throw but you have to blame amendola. Leave him alone and let him play his game. If online plays well and amendola doesn't then say something but don't kick him while he's down after a bad game
Listen Craig we all have responsibilities on this board. We have administrators, moderators, jokers, homers, trolls, body fat analysis experts (that's you) and then there is little old me. My duty to this board is to slight Amendola every chance I get, without me Danny Amendola would be nothing on this board, I have made him the most beloved WR in the history of the Patriots on here. I do my damn job and I do it well, maybe you should focus on your job because I have no clue what Collins current body fat % is and that is on you my friend.

Without Brady6 Amendola is an average WR occasionally discussed on this board.

With Brady6 Amendola is the greatest living WR, and the most loved and defended player in the history of Patsfans.com

I'm trying to figure out how a television viewing fan with no access to the trainer or medical staff can say with absolute certainty the precise time when a player's injury was fully healed, and no longer had any adverse effect on his performance.

Maybe I should stay at a Holiday Inn Express more often, so that I too can gain this insightful knowledge?
Try a V8 first hotels aren't cheap these days.

I'm really looking forward to the same poster saying the same things again and again and again and again and again, it's awesome, nothing tiresome about it. Nothing beats repetition.
I was too and you fulfilled it for me thanks bud..;)

Not going to lie: I would have bet my house there was no way in hell Amendola was on the field more than 10 snaps.

KT and Amendola were often open if you watch the tape, they are just third and fourth options. Brady simply had no time to ever get them the ball

If they were often open, then Brady/McDaniels did a terrible job recognizing it and changing the progressions on all/half/some of the plays to make them the first two reads. If your #1 and 2 reads are consistently covered, you don't keep using them as the 1 and 2 reads.

I find only a bit of sarcasm and a bit of hyperbole in your post.

Patsfans.com has had lots of receivers that it defended more than Amendola.

Julian Edelman -- 83 of 86
Danny Amendola -- 61 of 86
Kenbrell Thompkins -- 47 of 86
Brandon LaFell- -- 38 of 86

In BB's meritocracy world where the best players play, it seems as if WR is the exception. How many more games are we going to give Amendola at WR2 as he continues to put up terrible WR2 production, dating back to week 2+ from last year?

I really don't see why he should be on the field more than KT.
38 snaps too many for LaFell...hope he is just holding a spot until Tyms comes back off suspension.

I think DA's production is more on TFB than DA himself. 5 targets (caught 3). Was open more then that, at least 3-4 times he was WIDE OPEN. TFB is TOO locked in on Gronk, and his check down Edelman.

I think that was a result of the oline. He knew those guys would be in position and he didn't trust the oline to keep him upright to get to other reads is my take.

Kenbrell Thompkins is a better player than Amendola and should be seing more snaps nuff said! This Team needs a outside WR in the worse way sure glad they kept Brian Tyms. If we cannot consistenly connect on the outsides we are going to be predictable to good Teams.

LOL, if you put DA and KT on the FA market, same price...every team in the league would take DA.

This thread is an embarrassment.

If you put DA on the market now, you just may hear crickets.

I doubt that. While Amendola hasn't done much to live up to his higher priced contract, I would guess that there are plenty of head coaches and GMs who have enough common sense to find a role for a player like Amendola somewhere.

I often thought that we were being a bit harsh on a WR who had 54 catches last year. I'm not sure how much has changed the day after we just witnessed our star QB getting hit 22 times in total, with a second half net yardage of TEN going into the final garbage time drive.

The thread is indeed an embarrassment, I agree. That said, Amendola and Brady haven't found enough of a rapport yet to warrant his salary, so most of us expect either an agreement to a salary reduction, or an outright cut in the spring.

I think Belichick was worried about losing Welker and overpaid a bit to get Amendola. Now that we have Edelman, they'll likely have to make an agreement or decision in the offseason.

Seeing as how Amendola is a board whipping boy though, you really can't be too surprised that he's seeing attention after one game--LOL.

I've known you a long time here ,Supa....last night you were snarling, fangs bared, claws tearing at every post not to your liking...I was a little confused.

Tonight I looked up at the moon and saw that it is full...that got me thinking...are you a lycanthropy victim?

I wasn't really meaning to "snarl" my friend, just defending my opinion. I still stand by things that it was a team game that saw a poor performance from just about everyone--and that anyone saying that Revis had a "pretty good" game is incorrect (in my opinion). I think it was a mixed bag from our all pro new CB acquisition.

The thing is, sometimes people come back at you a little pissy, and the next thing you know, tensions are rising a bit more than usual.

To answer your question though, the way that some of those hairs begin to come in at weird places starting in your late 30s, I wouldn't be surprised :)

hey pal, you ain't seen NOTHIN' yet...it gets Cafe Bizarre when you get to Grey Pantherville, believe me

Kenbrell was open a lot in that game but Brady didn't have time to go through his progressions. On a play Brady threw the ball away basically due to pressure, Kenbrell embarrassed the corner and was open for about 16-17 yard pass with room to run if he stayed in bounds while catching it. I would like to see a lot of Kenbrell and Dobson on the field at same time. They both present the speed and height for a big play defenses have to respect. And they open. Along with Gronk Vereen and Edelman they all present a combo of speed, size and chemistry for Brady to throw to. Online I think bill has to go with most talented and get them up to speed. Solder Cannon Connolly or Stork, Fleming and Vollmer. Fleming has prototype size power talent for a guard. He is very similar to Osemele and James Carpenter except Fleming is very intelligent. He will learn the oline schemes and be productive in it with a couple starts. His coaches in college praised his intelligence and great feel for blocking as he didn't have ideal tackle athleticism but still succeeded through power, intelligence and the athleticism he did have and never got beat for sacks. I feel really good about him being a good right guard.

All just opinions, fellow members are going to disagree, but its still fun, as long as we win the Superbowl :)

I'd think that if Stork started at C, Dan Connelly would obviously be our RG long before Fleming ever was.

I'll tell you one thing, if Fleming really moving from backup OT to starting RG, I will congratulate you for predicting something that was somewhat out of left field--at least for a first year rookie, anyway.

I'm not exactly predicting it, I just feel its very clear his best position is guard. His college coach said he played tackle for us but in the NFL he saw him as a mauling guard. I feel his talent at tackle is mediocre to fairly good while guard its good to elite. I feel he has prototype talent of the other standout tackles who played power tackle in college. I think it would be silly and thickheaded for bill to have the stance I drafted a backup tackle. Most teams would already have tried him at guard with the pi$$ poor oline play the patriots have been getting. Im a believer in putting players where they play their best. Unless there's nobody else to play that position for time being. For instance Ravens played Yanda at RT and he did OK, but they knew they had to find a RT because they also knew Yanda would be a standout mauling guard. So they instantly looked for a natural RT so Yanda could play where he is best. The seahawks saw Carpenter would be a great guard and set out to play him there and he is tearing it up. The panthers have Byron Bell who is an OK RT but they want him at guard where they know he will dominate. Ravens drafted Osemele and decided he would be better at guard and if he stays injury free could be all pro this year.

Teams generally want their best players on the field in their best positions. Bill sometimes just gets these off the wall ideas and they never work out. Jones at DT because said so, kaczur should have been a guard but bill says I already have him coached in at Tackle.

I'm a believer talent wins games. I like the most talented players on the field playing their best position. And then coaching them up and teaching discipline and position integrity to play cerebral. Most talented players playing their best position coached to play intelligently disciplined and cerebral within your formations and schemes. I don't believe in that B$ starters are not named because it depends on who we play will determine starters. Do you take Patrick Willis JJ Watt earl Thomas or Michael Bennett( a player we should have signed) out of games and bench or scratch them depending on who you play.

On one of bradys sacks a player came in untouched because Wendell and Connolly did what they are great at and doubled a lineman allowing a clean hit on Brady. they struggle with over half the lineman in the NFL one on one. They are both underpowered. (Connolly is OK at Center) I like Fleming because he has the most upside at guard. I like idea of getting him and cannon at guard and getting them acclimated and up to speed due to they both have skill set to be very good guards. Size power athleticism, they won't be pushed into bradys lap once they settle in. Wendell at center and connolly at guard neither can go one on one with Atkins suh or Ngata. So I feel we should coach up somebody who maybe can. My opinion
