***Ray Rice---The Whole Video*** [Update: Ravens release Rice]

Evidently The footage today wasn't available to Goodell. He was caught in a lie.
That may or may not be true.

I saw somewhere that a hotel employee disputes what the NFL is saying, and claims that the NFL did indeed see the newly released video prior to giving Rice a two-game suspension.

I guess the TMZ investigative team is more powerful than the NFL/Ravens investigative team. lol

Closed fist punching a woman when you are a 220lb football player = absolutely disgraceful, they should put him in the same cell with Aaron Hernandez and leave a shank under Hernandez pillow.

Exactly, and that is a good example of that advice 90% of men listen from their fathers and grand fathers, that when we are young we listen without the proper attention, "do not get involved with a *****".

3 things that lead a man to bankrupt and total failure as a human being, drugs, gamble and a bad choice of woman.

You know what other advice fathers give to their sons? Don't ever put your hands on a woman.

Obviously defending yourself is one thing, what rice did here was NOT defending himself, he was clearly the aggressor.

Does it matter how exactly you knock out your significant other so that they are unconscious? The NFL should have put down the hammer when the first video came out. Pure PR move at this point.

Rice is a POS and should be in jail but this women is either a gold digger or has some serious mental issues as well since she married Rice after this.

That's a poor evaluation of the situation.

The point you raise is similar to the uneducated question asked of every woman "stuck" in an abusive relationship: "why don't they get out?"

The answer is that it's far more complicated than a matter of just "escaping."

Ray Rice career in the NFL is most likely over. The Ravens cut him.

Posters in the Ravens forum are calling for the NFL to forgive the cap hit because 'they did the right thing'. Like how that worked out for the Pats re: Hernandez.

Way for the Ravens and the NFL to step up when the damning evidence is made public and they have no choice to do anything but cut bait with Rice. I have a hard time believing that no one in the NFL ever saw this video. I think they cut bait because they had no choice.

Suspended indefinitely by the league so nobody is "signing the beast".

Either the NFL lied about having seen the footage or they neglected to obtain it. Either way things look bad. Their choice is to have knowingly let Rice off the hook or failed to investigate the issue to the same vaunted reporting standards as TMZ.
TMZ may be celebrity nonsense tabloid-TV, but don't fool yourself: They have superb investigative abilities in that arena. They have scooped the mainstream media and broken countless stories. They have a massive network of people they are willing to bribe, uh I mean compensate, to get their hands on footage like this, hospital reports, police reports, etc.

bravo baltimore.

ray rice is a coward.

No praise for Baltimore. They only released him because they were forced to.

If it weren't for the very intense public pressure they're getting now, they wouldn't even have blinked an eye, and didn't, as a matter of fact, since it's been reported that they did see the video.

They may be able go back after some money because he was suspended. Bonus money can be recouped if he is unable to work for any other reason besides injuries which includes suspension. But them cutting him does not give them right to more money.

Knowing Goodell, they probably will.

The casino where this happened, the Revel, closed last week due to bankruptcy so if an employee leaked it, there had no worries about getting disciplined/fired and they could have used it as their personal severance package....

I seriously hope that the Mrs has someone to watch out for her the next few days to protect her from RR......

Specifically, the issue was the the NFL should just rescind the 9.5 million cap hit they'll get next year.

And, if it a case of the league not investigating, how can that not raise a HUGE red flag that the single entity (ie judge and jury) that hands down sentencing (Godell) was incompetent and didn't do his job. And is this the only case of league incompetence on player suspension matters?

People, don't fool yourselves: Ray Rice's career is not over. Time will pass, the furor will die down, and someone else will do something else to get everyone all riled up. This will become yesterday's news, and some team will sign him and it won't be that big of a deal.

Just look at something else that happened today: The NCAA quietly lifted the sanctions against Penn State. There's no outrage and no one cares because Penn State is yesterday's scandal. Sooner or later, Ray Rice will just be yesterday's scandal, and someone will sign him.

They may get some back, but I think they will take a majority of it. The thing is I think the rule is they have to actually get the money back from Ray Rice to actually get cap credit. It could take years and Rice is likely going to hide the money.
