I love how MIA fans are saying ph moreno will be outstanding this year ect. How can you have a sample size on 1 game?

Could've used Anderson and Will Smith too. I disliked all three of those cuts when they were made (although I could be talked into the Smith cut being sensible with Buchanan and Moore performing), and yesterday did nothing to change that opinion.

My mantra is always they are never as good as they look after a huge win or as bad as they look after a game like yesterday's. There are issues to be sure but I choose to fall back on history, which shows we'll pull it together at some point.

if you take out that one game last year vs the pats were he had over 200 yards Moreno's season looks like 800 yards rushing with the best pass offense in NFL history to open thing up for him, he is a average RB until he plays the pats

It is one game. I know that it isn't a totally fair comparison, but the Pats in 2003 ended up losing 31-0 opening game to a team that ended up having 6 wins for the year. The opening games of the season have a lot of freak occurrences that may not be indicative of what will happen for the year.

We cannot make any definitive statements on this or any team until we see more games. Last year, Houston beat San Diego and put up 31 points with Schaub throwing for 346 yards and 3 TDs. The Texans' offense quickly fell apart after that. The year before the Jets scored 48 points against the Bills with Sanchez throwing for three TDs and Stephen Hill getting 89 yards and two TDs. Freak things happen in the first week.
