Not all, by any means, but, in my opinion, a lot of the blame not just for today's loss but for last season as well.

No, I think he's right. If Aaron Hernandez was playing, Goodell would just cancel the season and give the Patriots a 19-0 Super Bowl winning season.

i wouldn't blame hernandez for this past game - last season it caught the patriots flat footed since hernandez was arrested after the 2013 NFL draft. patriots had no contingency plans in place at TE. Tim Wright seemed to do pretty well out there. THe offense needs more time to gel - too many moving parts at OL, dobson hasn't played much, gronk just coming back into the lineup, etc. I am much more concerned about the defense - no excuses for why they were mauled.

Excuses excuses excuses.

Not delusional, Vrabel Jr.....revealing...some of these posts from so called "die hards" are so ridiculously theatrical you could almost equate it with a Glenn Close-Fatal Attraction clone convention.

Hernandez deserves some blame because he screwed this team contract-wise and timing-wise. He got jailed after the draft and the height of free agency, and left them scrambling with few options to replace a system they envisioned would last for years based on the contracts doled out to him and Gronk. Not to mention the dead cap space.

But BB has now had a full year to manage the situation and evaluate his team, and did nothing about the TE situation until signing Wright. But that's the least of their problems right now.

the over rated murderer would not have helped last year or this year

We need to stop talking about this guy it's too depressing. I doubt he changes the outcome of this game anyways.

As Miguel has noted on patscap.com: the Prisoner accounts for about 6% of the Pats cap ($7.53M) and is, obviously, giving them absolutely nothing.

Next year, the Pats will be free and clear of his contract, and then it's on them. But, as far as I'm concerned, he very much deserves some of the blame for this year's problems.

FWIW - Tim Wright looked decent today. Caught all 3 passes thrown to him.

Chicken Little?? Chicken Little where are you??

Not to mention Hernandez did not play OL or DL so it really does not matter.

QFT. Jerry Rice in his prime wouldn't have caught any difference-making passes in the second half when the snap was barely making it to Brady before the defense.

Thank you for making my point about bad drafting.

How could the Pats not know that Hernandez was a gang member and had also shot a person in college. Jimmy Graham was on the draft board when the Pats picked Ryan Mallet the folowing season, but the Pats already had the "Gangstsa"

McDaniels, Patricia, Belichick, and pretty much everyone on the team (including Brady but not including Gronk) deserve blame as well. I have no clue what the defensive game plan was but I have to wonder what sort of drugs Patricia and Belichick were on when they drew it up. They literally did absolutely nothing to take advantage of the strength of their personnel.
