I appreciate the pep talk. I'm sober, maybe I outta get drunk. I'm a happy drunk. I tell you what, this kind of ****ty performance helps my diet, lost my appetite after this disgrace of a performance.
Hey I wasn't saying you were, actually I didn't think you were. If I were you though-
If you want your points to be more relevant make them when you're less pissed off. No one is taking you seriously right now with how you're approaching this.

Seattle got smacked around in a game they were supposed to win against a team with a terrible QB in Carson Palmer last season. At home.

Sh*t happens sometimes in division games. We're going to win a bunch of games now and in a few weeks, everyone will be over this loss. Some fans of this board remind me of that guy who keeps predicting the apocalypse, and people still believe him no matter how many times he's wrong.

To be honest, I really don't care what people think about what I say. They can agree or disagree, it still doesn't matter to me. I'm a very strong believer in saying what you feel and standing behind it if you feel strongly about it. I feel very strongly about what I said. Like I said before, been a fan longer than a lot of people here have been alive. And if the Pats suck, I say so. I will always stick with my team though. Hell I used to get excited when the Pats were on TV here in NY or when I lived in San Francisco, even if they were 5-11 or 1-15. Still get excited and happy when they are on TV in NY. But I'm going to speak my mind, I don't wear rose colored glasses, never have never will.

Settle down or not, the same issues that have plagued the Patriots for years were exposed by the Dolphins. To compound the issue, the Dolphins were far more physical than the Patriots.

For some reason, Belichick hasn't adapted his defensive philosophy to counter current NFL trends. To me, that is the pressing issue.

Stopping the run has been an issue for the Patriots for years? I disagree. That seems to be a new issue.

My 2 hour digestion is complete......HERE's the Deal.

I live in S Florida....and the rule of thumb for locals is.....don't do strenuous activity during daylight hours in the summer....because the heat/humidity will zap you. It's not a question of if....but when.
Playing inside ProPlayer/LandShark/Dipschit Stadium (whatever the fu** they call it now) is an oppressive furnace where field temps can hit 110+. Its an awful place for spectators in Sept and October so imagine playing football with all that gear on. I will never go to that stadium in the first half of the season because it is oppressive.
Watching NE....their Jekyll and Hyde transformation from one half to the other.....I believe the heat hit them hard. Not only does the heat affect the body but it affects the mind...the focus. I've sat in the 2nd row in mid Sept before...and its impossible to enjoy yourself when all your mind is thinking about is how effing hot it is. You don't want to move because that may generate heat.

I'm giving this team a great big pass because they are a much better team than what we saw in that second half. Young linemen, new to the NFL probably never dealt with such a heat blast....and it got the better of them.
The Dolphins had the advantage today because they are conditioned for these elements...but I do believe this climate takes a long term toll on the Florida teams during the course of the season. Islanders move slow for a reason, they learned to conserve their energy over time...but teams that practice in this eventually break down. At least that's my thesis.
Hold off on judgement....the toughest conditions are now in their rear view mirror.
Bet the Pats next week. Odds makers are going to overcompensate

If I recall, two years ago we were among the top of the league in rushing defense.

Well, that would explain Josh McDaniels playcalling.
8 years of Josh
...here comes the screen
....here comes the draw.
Weiss was creative....Josh is repetitive

This is the most idiotic thing yet. Why was he playing the last preseason game. TO GET READY FOR THE F***CKING SEASON. Which BB clearly feels he isn't yet. Ok? Next question.

Gronk didn't play a snap in the preseason and yet was given the green light.

best post of the day. thank you for giving us perspective.

I'll wait a while before actually thinking about what i saw today.

But 1st impressions were:

They beat us on Both lines. They were more Physical. When we did get good protection Brady and the recievers were on the wrong page, again he was forcing the ball to Gronk.

We came into this game looking to see what the defense can do, can it be elite? Honestly they looked timid, missed tackles and there was little to no pass rush.

It's hard to look at the secondary with any critiscm because they were having to cover for extended periods due to the lack of pass rush. This woudl be ok if we were stopping the run, but we weren't.

Just a bad bad game to move on from.

This is the concerning thing for me .... ongoing issues that have plagued this team for years and which reared its ugly head again in today's loss.

1. Why can't this defense make what should be easy stops?
2. What is with the ridiculously stupid mental mistakes which keep opponent drives alive and which destroy our drives?
3. Why does Brady continue to play like crap when the OL allows him to be pressured early and often?
4. Why is the OL inconsistent and prone to taking plays off (impacting the above point)?
5. Why is it this team takes halves off?

Not sure if it's related to personnel or coaching, or both, but it needs to stop ..... yesterday.
You mean the years we went to the playoffs? ..# 3 answers your own question

Were you honestly impressed with what you saw on the defensive side of the ball today? Even Revis looked like garbage.

If only the donkeys somehow lose tonight, it would make this 1st week of football bearable.... :(

Last time I looked, the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl.

I was waiting for someone to bring that up, as I didn't want to be 'that guy.'

I certainly agree with you, no doubt about it. If you're going to consider paying someone 13-14m dollars per game with a lot of guaranteed money, you're going to want to see more than that half-assed effort.
