Let's all settle down

MIA will most likely be 2-0 after next week with 2 division wins next week. Can't wait to see the cliff people go off of for that one!

Don't worry...we still get 3 more losses to be 12-4

Settle down or not, the same issues that have plagued the Patriots for years were exposed by the Dolphins. To compound the issue, the Dolphins were far more physical than the Patriots.

For some reason, Belichick hasn't adapted his defensive philosophy to counter current NFL trends. To me, that is the pressing issue.

There's no doubt that some significant concerns were raised in the game, from what I can tell (again, I couldn't get a live feed). From what I can tell, chief among them were the play of the OL, the run defense, the lack of physicality, and the defensive scheme. Secondary issues seemed to include Brady forcing the ball while under pressure, the long passing game, and some secondary play.

We'll have to see how BB adjusts. The Pats have started poorly before, and addressed significant issues successfully. Or this could signify significant problems. We'll just have to wait and find out.

Mankins injured.......that BB.........clairvoyant

with the run game being so porous and next week they are on the road, against AP....tough assignment. If they manage to shore things up next week there is some hope (although AP I am sure features a stacked box every week)...

We play a lot of teams that have great DL. Jets...Lions ect. Need to fix Oline more then anything but again...it's 1 game. About to win next 6 in a row

Like the old saying goes you win games in the trenches, and when you suck on both sides of the trenches, well...

You get the result. A lot of things need fixing right now. Luckily there's no better time in the season to have a game like this than right now.

When the Pats lose during the regular seaosn, it's usually against an AFC playoff team (Colts during 09, Steelers in 11', Ravens in 12', and Bengals in 13'), an NFC game (Giants in 11', Hawks in 12', Panthers in 13'), 1 divisional game, and one WTF loss (Browns in 10, Cardinals in 12'). Hopefully this loss proves to be either a divisional one, or a WTF one.

It's true this is only one game but who are the offensive linemen and defensive linemen we can plug in?
We drafted three OLs but would Stork and Fleming be an improvement? Is Quarles better than Velano?
Most of the experts thought the Patriots would mop up their early opponents but three of the first
four games are on the road where the Patriots are a 50% team.

The first goal all along here was to get the #1 seed in the AFC and host Denver in the AFC Championship game.

To lose to the ****ing Dolphins is a joke. We're supposed to be taking advantage of having an easier schedule than Denver and that happens.

They were simply dominated in the second half, they didn't show up. They have many question marks but we knew that going into the season, unfortunately the answers that came out of todays performance were all negative, so Belichick, Patricia, MacDaniels and Degugliemo all have their work cut out for them to get them on track. Like most bad losses this one is accompanied by massive knee jerk overreaction and I expect that will continue until they string a few strong performances together. My hope is that Belichick will decide to scrap Wendell and get Stork playing as soon as possible.

We couldn't run the ball. We couldn't defend again the run.

In the end, the #1 factor may be that we can't play a good second half when the temperature and humidly are over 90.

Of course, the offense (and the OL) did NOT play well in the first half either.

Why the **** would I settle down ? The same problems that have plagued this team since the last championship are still here. Brady was sacked more times last year than he had been in 13 years, was the offensive line weakness addressed ? No, in fact our best offensive lineman was traded away. This team couldn't stop anyone from running the ball down their throats, was it addressed ? Nope, let's resign a 34 fat lineman who blew out his Achilles and not sign anyone to help the interior line. Oh of course we draft an undersized DT with knee problems. I love Revis , but would have rather we signed some offensive lineman and defensive linemen instead of leaving our team in the hands of UDFA linemen on both sides of the ball.

I have every right to be pissed off. This team gets it's ass kicked EVERY time they face a physical team since 2005. No passion, no swagger, our defense has sucked since the last championship team, has not come up with key stoppages, we can't run the ball, the Brady magic is gone, no big plays from him save New Orleans and Denver last year. This was an embarrassing loss, and there are no in season moves that can fix what is wrong with this team. Bad drafting, bad coaching, bad GM'ing. Just a ****ing embarrassment. Most overrated team in football, all the ball washing from the experts, and this team can't beat the teams they are allegedly better than.

We have a 50 ****ing page thread about how the Jets suck, guess what, our Pats aren't better. We are in last place and deserve to be there. Even the ****ing Bills won.

Also, why the **** wasn't Dobson active, why the **** is he playing the last preseason game if he's not ready for the regular season. I really question Belichick's effectiveness. Supposed defensive genius has reigned over ****ty defenses for 10 years. He should be ****ing embarrassed. If he can't get his team foaming at the mouth for the 1st game of the year, something is wrong. This team is mentally weak, and he has to take the blame. What a ****ing disgrace.

And any of you who wanna hide your heads in the sand, be my ****ing guest, but you're are all naive. And yes I will eat my words if the Pats win the SB, hell they 'd be lucky to make the playoffs and win a playoff game. ****ing disgrace.

Also, where is the genius and his 2nd half adjustments ? He has sucked at 2nd half adjustments since the 2006 AFCCG, hell, I pretty much knew they were gonna blow this game with BB's ****ty 2nd half adjustments.

I think a WTF one myself

Calm down dude.

I expect Wilfork's performance to improve as he gets more snaps and I'm hoping Easely will step up and show that he deserved that first round pick so i'm not that worried about their DL as they have the talent to be really good over the course of the season. the Ol is another story altogether as Wendell flat out sucks and should be released. Connolly is average at best but they are going to need him to play given their depth on the unit. Degugliemo is going to have tyo do an exceptional job of coaching this OL up and they really need to give Cannon and Stork playing time imo.

How can you say that? They scored 20 pts in the first half, and Brady was on pace for a 400 yd game.

I thought it was a tale of 2 halves for sure. The OL didn't look bad at all in the first half.

In the second half, they couldn't even pick up a first down (2 or 3 total all second half) and scored ZERO points, with a ton of allowed sacks/pressures/hurries.
