Let's all settle down

I agree too to settle down, but the Oline and DLine played horrible today you can't win with that type of play

Settle down or not, the same issues that have plagued the Patriots for years were exposed by the Dolphins. To compound the issue, the Dolphins were far more physical than the Patriots.

For some reason, Belichick hasn't adapted his defensive philosophy to counter current NFL trends. To me, that is the pressing issue.

But overreacting makes up a decent amount of posters on here, the ones who are mad if the Pats don't win 41-3

Is the current NFL trend to pound the ball in the run game? Because that's what Miami did to us.

I hope this wakes the entire organization up, but that might be the worst display I have ever seen from the Pats (Mangina Browns game also comes to mind).

I'm also a little pissed my Sunday is ruined, along with killing all the opening Sunday excitement.

The Patriots rarely attack/move the line of scrimmage. Miami capitalised on that weakness. There's rarely a significant inside push from the DL and to me, that's concerning.

Patriots offensive line sucks, our run defense is non existent, tackling was horrible. We were beat in all 3 phases of the game. Brady was getting mauled out there against second string LBers. There is some concern with this team right now. McDaniels needs to go! Horrible OC and same with Patricia. You put Chandler Jones out there as a 3-4 DE? It didn't work last year and it wont work now.

I'm aboard the ship no matter how much water I have bail out.......

They blew a halftime lead and played only a half of bad football if your a glass is half full sorta guy.

Yeah I'm pissed as we should all be but no need for us to start fighting and competing for "ridiculous post of the year" awards

This is the concerning thing for me .... ongoing issues that have plagued this team for years and which reared its ugly head again in today's loss.

1. Why can't this defense make what should be easy stops?
2. What is with the ridiculously stupid mental mistakes which keep opponent drives alive and which destroy our drives?
3. Why does Brady continue to play like crap when the OL allows him to be pressured early and often?
4. Why is the OL inconsistent and prone to taking plays off (impacting the above point)?
5. Why is it this team takes halves off?

Not sure if it's related to personnel or coaching, or both, but it needs to stop ..... yesterday.

They win next week. And everyone will forget about this game. A W takes a lot of pressure off

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me 1 win won't erase my concern. It's Minnesota after all. It mostly depends on how they play I guess, but I am more concerned with how they will perform against better competition. Denver would completely tear us apart the way things are - even in Foxboro.

Luckily, we have some time until we have to play them.

They were gifted the first half. They were less than stellar the entire game.

It is one game and the Pats were doing some new things. Teams that play like crap in the first game and then go deep in the playoffs and others look like world beater in the first game and go sub .500.

The Pats are still far too talented to be competing for the Conference in January and possibly the Super Bowl in February.

BB's post game presser was a pretty fair preview of the uncomfortableness the Patriots are in for next week. That stoic face, them three words answers, those long awkward silences. Those guys are in for a rough week. If they hadn't played so badly, I'd feel sorry for them. But I imagine we won't repeat this next week.

A 37 year old QB not named Favre can't take 40+ sacks a year.

Barring trade, the OL isn't going to magically not stink. That's what worries me most.

I hope BB has half a brain to switch to back to the 4-3.

hopefully by the time we play Denver they will have traded for some new o-lineman and/or move stork into the starting lineup.

1 game...divisional is the only thing i am pissed about...gotta win in division. A lot of of work to be done. Just win next week.

The patriots lay a couple of eggs every season and this was one of them, a total team loss, the only good thing that came out of it was Wendell getting benched. I doubt the performance of the lines escaped Belichick's attention and I expect a very different OL when they face Minnesota next week. Cannon at LG and Connolly at C and possibly Kline in at RG. Hopefully Vellano goes back to the bench as well. Really bad outing but i am not going to panic about a team that averages 12 wins a season.
