The suspense is killing me just a little over 1 hour to go!!

Wow. Dobson inactive :(

I guess we're playing it safe so he's 110% healthy and doesn't potentially re-injure anything

we have to start well the season...so i hope we will play well at Miami...allready an AFCE battle...

Had Kline in at LG. Was wrong. Interested in OL and "other " safety....

Finally the season starts ! I am really interested to see how the defense looks . So excited for the games to start.

So what do people think how many flags will be thrown today?

I wonder if he re-injured the foot or is a healthy scratch. He was well enough to play in game 4 is preseason, but he did round off an in route, which was pretty awful. Maybe Belichick is just not happy with his sharpness. How disappointing.

I would say, strictly speaking, it's somewhere in between: while he might be 100% physically ready, he's not likely 100% in game shape.

I thought Darius Fleming might see some significant action with Buchanan out.

Only 3 LBs plus Chris White. I assume we'll be in sub most of the game with Collins-Mayo. Hopefully lots of Easley if we're in sub most of the time.

Pats inactives: D.Fleming, Stork, Dobson(??), Chris Jones, White, Kline (?), Buchanan

BTW, Mike Reiss' projections:
  • Michael Buchanan (announced Friday)
  • Chris Jones (announced Friday)
  • Cameron Fleming [well, he got the last name right ;) ]
  • Jordan Devey
  • Tavon Wilson
  • Zach Moore
  • Sealver Siliga
So Reiss chose . . . poorly.

@DougKyedNESN: Rookie CB Malcolm Butler appears to have a special handshake with Brady and Jimmy G.

@DougKyedNESN: Chung starting at S, Dennard at CB.

@jeffphowe: New O-line drill offers the same combo: Solder-Cannon-Connolly-Devey-Vollmer.

Well Miami knows the only way to win this is to wear out our defense. They are going to try to run a play every 18-20 seconds, and I think it might work. So TB and company need long sustaining drives to give the defense a break.

As far as the in actives; it is funny To me that anyone questions this. How many NFL head football coaches are on the forum, just sayin, if we are so good why are we not working for an nfl team? I just think that BB probably sees a lot more than we do. LMAO

Anyway this game worries me a bit because of Miami's offensive coordinator from the eagles, he is going to run play after play as fast as possible, substitutions will be unlikely.

So looks like Wendell is starting?

Bleh.

Agreed. But also somewhat expected. Unless Stork was ready, the only other option. Would be Connolly at center, which would have required 2 new guards.

Hopefully either Stork or Fleming will develop quickly and bump Wendell (directly or indirectly) to a backup role as soon as possible.

Note: See above post about Cannon at LG, Connolly at C and Devey at RG. Very interesting.

Has anybody been watching any of the various pre-shows? I'm curious as to how much anti-Patriot talk is going on.

Patrick Friggin Chung starting at safety

Shame on Tavon and Harmon....can't believe on such a talented defense we have 1 scrub out there.

I think I'm the only one that admitted Chung was going to be starting this year. And Whohooo!! at Wendell not starting!
