a league source says #Patriots are being cautious with Tom Brady and his calf issue and it's not a serious situation
It does take a lot. One tough dude. But reports are nothing serious. I just hope it doesn't linger all year.Albert Breer @AlbertBreer 4m
Last year, Brady played with ligament damage in his throwing hand. So I have no doubt he'll play in Miami. Interesting he missed today, tho.
AT 37, this stuff just happens, even to the most highly trained athletes. He's probably going to play the rest of his career with something nagging him. Let's hope that's all it amounts to, and like PWP suggests above, that we get 10 more years of him.
My guess is that he probably doesn't need the reps and it's better to give him a day of rest then aggravate it more. But its speculationIt does take a lot. One tough dude. But reports are nothing serious. I just hope it doesn't linger all year.
Bet MIA fans are now predicting a blow out right?
At 37? Really? I thought nagging pains started in your 50s or something.
It's called caution.Mike Reiss @MikeReiss 17m
Key facts on Tom Brady haven't changed: Calf injury significant enough to keep him out of practice today, but he is expected to play Sunday.
significant enough?? yet playing? meaning?

Brady said: “Physically I had the day off, but I got a lot of extra film in. I got a lot of extra mental reps in and walk-throughs and such and I’ll be ready to go Sunday.”

50's??? I was still bench pressing 315 for reps when I was 55....you want to know about pain?...pains??
Take my advice if only this once (I know I know)...get out there and DO IT...whatever dreams you have, whatever pursuits you've yet to pursue...DO IT. I will not lie to you...your 60's, if you make it that far, are no joke. Pain just appears...out of nowhere. The doctor tells you "walk two miles a day every day"...good advice. Except that after three or four days, when you try to go out for that walk..the hip hurts, this muscle strains, that muscle twists...you stretch and still are stiff as a board. You HAVE to rest a day or two to be able to continue. Of course the good ol' doc will have none of that..."if you're not showing gains then you have to ramp it up to four miles a day". Sorry Doc...this Bugs Bunny ain't buying it.
