OK, I'm not saying we should, but could Josh be one of those lost souls that we could give a second chance to?

He is obviously a very talented receiver

Why would you be interested in trading for a wide receiver? That would be like trading for a cornerback.

Now if you offered me a left guard I might take a second glance...

Oh, I'm not meaning today. I'm very happy with what we have. However, we have a full season to go at...we never know how good they will end up.

BTW, I'm not saying i would go for Gordon, but I just wonder if people thought he would be worth a risk. i know there will be plenty of franchises having the same debate

Absolutely not. He is extremely talented. But so far he has shown absolutely no will to change his ways.

I mean there where talks around the draft that Gordon would be suspended because of his weed smoking. Then during this summer he drives drunk. At the time when he should be as quiet and under the radar this moron thought that driving drunk was a good idea. Then when he became suspended there where talks that he might go to Canada to play for a year.

Why would we a guy that refuses to stop taking drugs, that drives drunk and then tries to game the system by going to Canada instead of changing himself.

Just ask Hernando, you can't catch passes from a cell.

No. Although maybe if it was for a 6th or 7th draft pick and he was only here for '15 and '16, when his rookie deal is up. Because there is no why you could sign him to a long deal without contingencies and some dumb team will give him a contract without contingencies.

But how weak are you that you can't stop smoking bud? I'm sure everyone was telling him stop smoking weed and yet he couldn't. Weed is probably the easiest vice to kick if you need to. Hell i've stopped multiple times and gone a few years without. I'm sure some on here have too.

Like how dumb and weak is he? Here was his options

Continue getting baked and be suspended for a year or more every next failed test

or

Quit, play your rookie contract out and get a $90-$100m contact

IDIOT.

Even when the Pats were desperate for WR help last year, I said no. And I'm glad the team had the same opinion. He's one more strike away from a possible ban. If he had his head on straight, he could be an all time great at the position. That's how talented he is. But he's having a world of difficulty getting that head on straight.

Not only no, HELL no.

Depends on the asking price. For what it would take? No. For a fourth/fifth round pick? Sure, why the hell not.

No, but I do recall a few years ago the Patriots were rumored to be in trade talks with San Diego for Vincent Jackson, who has character concerns. In hindsight, he likely would have been a great signing.

id give up a 7th round pick from houston for him.

Ok, I'll stand alone.

"Yes."

Initial reaction was HELL NO.

But if it's a low cost trade, and it keeps Gordon on his rookie contract so we're not paying much for him, why not?

All the people saying no are nuts. Come on its a little weed and DWI, who hasn't drove after a couple drinks. He isn't showing violent or psycho behavior. Get him in a winning structured environment and he will be motivated to win and succeed and stay away from weed. They found trace amounts. Bout ANY team would trade a #2 pick for him. Maybe even a late #1. What are your chances getting an elite rare talent WR with a #2 or #3. Oh my we may lose out in an oppurtunity to get another tavon Wilson or Jake bequette for an all pro WR. If a team has strong motivating structure there's a good chance you have an elite game changing talent. Cleveland isn't giving up on him, they were trying to get a #2 for him but they wouldn't trade him for a #2 pick now. Didn't bill just use a #1 on an undersized DT with 2 acl tears in college who is unproven in the NFL. So what's the prob trading a #2 for a PROVEN talent who had trace amounts of weed found. Something legal already in some states. at least he has the talent which gives him a shot at being a great player if you keep him straight, better than players with zero talent who will never be standouts in the nfl . Cleveland isn't trading him and if they did anybody would trade a #2 pick now, even jax has decided to see if Blackmon can get straight rather than cut him and let some other team get him straight and steal him. I like kenbrell and Dobson a lot but you would have to take a rare talent like that, you can have the choir boys with no talent josh Gordon has talent, rare talent
