@Miami in the heat
Gronk/Dobson not having been 100% for TC
do the Patriots have the team together (enough) for a possible "surprise" loss against a tough divisional foe?

I'll take the over.

After a cool-ish summer, looks like a nice week to practice for Miami:

Sounds about right it's a divisional game on the road against a team that has a good DLine and Pats don't always play their best over there. I still see the Pats winning though :)

This game can be as tough as last season debut against the Bills, but I believe we will get this one.

Me educated guess for the season is 16-0

The weather for practice will be nice here, but game conditions are calling for the high 80's with a lot of humidity..

I'm more interested in the Sunday weather for Miami. We'll be in the dark unis. :(

(Post edit: I see that DarrylS provided the report one minute before my post. Ugh)

Yeah, you can't fully duplicate Miami weather up here, but the forecast comes pretty close. Heck, "high 80s with a lot of humidity" is what they're calling for up here. And I'd bet BB has his team wearing the darks all week. The forecast can't hurt, that's for sure.

We couldn't have gotten a better break in the weather here this week for practice. Come game day, it's all about hydration and execution.

I'd be curious how often they are actually in dark unis this week. I could see a couple days here and there, but I could also see heat problems by overdoing it this week.

Deeply concerned about a really nice DLine catching our transitioning OLine at just the right time... pretty much the formula for neutralizing our greatest advantage, namely QB play.

It's south Florida, it's September, it is still hot, and the forecast will be the same as it has been every day for the past two months.

90 plus/minus 2 degrees, humid, with a 50% chance of thunderstorms, most likely sometime between 3 PM and 5 PM.

lather, rinse, repeat

(but hey, after Halloween it will be 75 plus/minus 5 for four months!)

The last super hot/humid game for the Patriots at Miami was the one where Brady passed for over 500 yards, Welker had the 99 yard TD, and the Dolphins and not the Pats were out of breath all game.

Night game. No sun being absorbed by the dark unis.

You'd hardly think we're favored at all considering the Boston Globe says we should be "scared" of Miami, ESPN insisting they're "ready" for us, and the Finsiders declaring that this isn't the same team we're used to seeing.

Boy, one lost game because we didn't have a big enough receiver to catch a fade pass, and suddenly you have no chance of beating a team you'd beaten six straight times previous.

None of the predictions for this game I've read have even mentioned the Patriots defense. They won't make that mistake in writing their postgame analysis.

What's so good about the Dolphins DL? Wake and Starks are on the decline, Vernon and Odrick are decent, Dion Jordan had a terrible rookie year and is suspended right now. Their depth is largely unproven. This is a great DL for our OL to figure things out against in my opinion. Imagine opening against the Bills or Jets DLs instead.

Agree with the bolded. Enough uncertainty with the IOL that I anticipate Vernon/Wake/Odrick will be everything they can handle (and hopefully not more).

I find 5 points rather low. We should score 23+ and give up no more than 17. A blowout wouldn't surprise me.
