Some late round/UDFA guys who I liked who made their teams' initial 53 man cutoff included:

171. Jordan Tripp, Dolphins.
175. OL John Urschel, Ravens.
182. DB Antone Exum, Vikings.
198. DE Zach Moore, Patriots.
234. DE Terrance Fede, Dolphins.
236. WR Jeff Janis, Packers.
247. DB Jonathan Dowling, Raiders.
UDFA. LB Christian Jones, Bears.
UDFA. FB/H-Back Gator Hoskins, Dolphins.

Then again, I missed on Garrett Gilbert (214).

What about other people's late day 3 binkies?

Well I feel pretty good about Terrence Fede and Zach Kerr. I know that people have an issue with PFF but, after week three, Fede was the 5th best 4-3 DE on there and Kerr was the best 3-4 DE in pre-season so I'm pleased with those two.

I should have added #173 OL Wesley Johnson, who stuck with the Steelers.

I know you like him too Mayo. But, John Urschel making the Ravens. Great representative of PSU. Probably the smartest guy in the NFL already.

He's on my list in the OP. He ended up being my top OC prospect in this draft - sort of a fusion of Travis Frederick and Eric Wood, IMO. I was convinced he would end up a Patriot. Shame.

Belichick wanted to remain the smartest guy in the room;)

My day 3 binkies:

113 - RB Andre Williams - on NYG
127 - CB Pierre Desir - on Browns
145 - OL David Yankey - on Vikings
156 - OLB Lamin Barrow - on Donkeys
158 - DT Caraun Reid - on Lions
171 - OLB Jordan Tripp - on Doofins
175 - OL John Urschel - on Ratbirds
182 - DB Antone Exum - on Vikings
198 - DE Zach Moore - on Pats
200 - OT Laurent Duvernay Tardif - on Chiefs
236 - WR Jeff Janis - on Packers

All of the above are currently on the active rosters of the teams that drafted them.

Looks like those of us who suggested these players instead of some of those whom Bill drafted
(Halapio, Jemea Thomas, Gallon) have a higher success rate…what a shock.

Mine:
John Urschel, G, BAL (from PSU)...seems to be about it, a lot of my guys were IRed however (Arthur Lynch, Ben Gardner, etc), not on 53, Max Bullough got cut from HOU surprisingly, would love to see him in NE, and grab Jemea and Gallon back, both succeed here, careers are ending too quickly...I did love me some Kelcy Quarles though and he's here in NE so that's successful

FWIW, I started my list around 150 or so, as guys taken earlier had a much higher likelihood of sticking on the roster. It would have been shocking to me if guys like Devonta Freeman (103) and Kevin Pierre-Louis didn't stick.

James Hurst - Ravens

Absolutely could not believe he went undrafted.

This year was a very strange draft, infact I was really taken back how this draft went. I mean, I'm no expert by any means and obviously don't have the intel the pros do, but I was shocked at how many guys I really liked went undrafted. Granted it happens every year, but this year in particular I was way off on my player assessments even with the extra time before the draft. Maybe it was just all the anticipation leading up to it or something, but I was really let down by the way the whole draft unfolded.

I suspect that because of the depth of the draft, team evaluations were all over the place. One team might evaluate a prospect two or three rounds ahead of another prospect, a different team the exact reverse. There was something for everyone last May. As for James Hurst though, didn't he break his leg or something similar during the season?

The 2014 draft was particularly difficult because it was so deep and loaded that it was clear that a lot of talent would slip into the UDFA ranks. There are always reaches on day 3, and there were probably well over 300 guys with draftable grades.

Bullough was signed to Houston's PS, so if Bill really wants him on the 53 he's still available.
